Talk about a guy playing with no pressure. No chance to win, but Ray called it. Those of you that called Christi a bitch are idiots and destined to spend their remaining days "rubbing it off". She is anything but a bitch, poor girl just had a huge brain fart. I would like to point out that had she not left all the number one answers on the board, this would not have been as amazing, and without her 13 points, we would not have won.
@bwvonny Though I agree that you've gotta be a little fucked up in the head to call her a bitch, he would have had just enough points to win without her.
On Christmas Day of 2007, I was watching the first episode of "Family Feud" at the 10:00 A.M. hour where one team almost made the comeback, but he failed. It came down to the next to last question which was "The age in which kids stop listening to their parents?" he said Age 18. He was 52 points away and Ray told him right now that age 18 was the #1 answer. Survey got 46 and he wound up with 194 $5 for every point gave him $970.
Don't want to sound sexist, but historically, women don't usually fair too well playing or don't volunteer to play Fast Money. It maybe the old stereotype that they do not make decisions quickly enough; but if there are 2 or more men in the family, they are the first to volunteer. Ever since the Dawson days, I rarely see two women in Fast Money unless there are no men. (Sorry, Ladies, but if you can post some exceptions....)
@Godzillaman I didn't say two women can't win Fast Money. I said that from what I've seen in past FFs that two women usually don't play Fast Money togther unless it's an all-women team. In some instances, a woman can score more points than the male teammate and still lose, just as two men have lost Fast Money.
The person that commented before me is a true homophobic and feels so insecure about his own sexuality. He probably lives in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere and will never discover the wonders of the world.
4:04....craters/rocks were number one? They're two totally different things! A crater is not a rock, and a rock is not a crater! They shouldn't have been combined into 1 answer.
I bet the fam gave her the whole $11,000 for a job well done for that whopping 13 points or maybe took $5000 of it for her to get a brain transplant for her unintelligence
Somebody clue me in: Does Ray say "Uncross your arms," just because the posture makes the contestant look awkward, or what? BTW, some people rag on him for his game show host style. I loved him, even tho I had no time to watch the show. He was good at stand-up on the Tonight Show, too. Rest in peace, Ray.
Crossed arms, can be indicative of body language. Seen more commonly among women, it may demonstrate a defensive posture when they are nervous or scared. Also, it can represent disapproval i.e. if they are in the presence of a male they don't like or are annoyed.
Males usually cross their arms to show confidence/superiority, so it could be interpreted as arrogance.
Perhaps Ray Combs was conditioned as a youth to associate it with bad manners. There could be several reasons.
Ray Combs was the best host this game ever saw. I love how he would not let the second contestant look at the scoreboard knowing it might throw him off.
@jmlakes Many small cars new cost about $2000 in 1970, and in 1980 some one bedroom houses cost $18,000 so it would be considered a lot of money to many people back then. $11,000 would still be a years wages for a dishwasher, etc. so to play a half hour game show would still be considered a lot of money.
@tachoX2 I think the record is 4 for the lowest ever for the first person. But the second contestant only came up with about 60. I know the record for the lowest points total combined is 42 points
I like what Ray did by not telling him him all the number one answers were still there as opposed to how many points he needed. 80% of the game is nerves and Ray took a lot of pressure off.
I'm amazed that Family Feud is still on TV considering the first two rounds of the show are completely meaningless. Has no one else in America realized that the winning family is ALWAYS the one who wins the third round?! Even if a family wins the first two rounds with maximum points, the overall winner is always the third round winner. Weird.
It used to go all 5 rounds if nessecariy (with the 4th being a double and the third being a triple).
They changed it later to 4 rounds (with the third being a double and the forth being a triple) even with that version there was a chance to win after three rounds).
So there was still a chance to win in the double round.
Depending on how hard the question is, the game can still go into the fourth and fifth round. Sometimes, the contestants can't give the #1 or #2 answers, thus keeping the pot at a low value, making additional rounds necessary to reach the required winning value (even with a double or triple point value system). It is rare that this happens, as the winning family usually DOES win in the third round.
What a stunning comback in the fast money round while the family is off to a rocky start and got only 13 dollars and then another family member is going to get the most popular answers real badly to win money. He got 4 out of the 5 popular answers. How many times in the history of the "Family Feud" that a family made a comback and won fast money with 50 points or less?
No I've seen someone get the 200 points they needed on the first go around, so the host decided to mess with the second person that came out telling them they needed a lot of points and asked a bunch of stupid questions such as "what's your favorite color?" (don't remember the exact questions but something along those lines) Pretty awesome.

skins2717 2 years ago
Actually I was sort of wrong on that. I hadn't really watched since Louie Anderson, where I recall two single rounds and a triple round.
My favorite type is the typical 5 round match where the first 3 games are single money, then a double round, and finally a triple round.
The point is most people complain about the triple point round making the others useless. It used to be that one could win in the double round.
TNTITAN 2 years ago
