why had i almost tears in my eyes in the end?

cause this short movie comes very close to what in reality happens every day. people project their probs, hate and fears on others. these others havn´t anything to do with the probs, but they fit perfectly in this image of the victim. they are short, weak and helpless.

the stylistic devices, you used are simply awesome! great short movie.

the message: he died, because in the mind of the victim still is a chance of getting better, but reality sucks

it is a kind of illusion (dont know if this is the right word for it ;) sorry)...he remembered all the good time he had with his dad and he only thought that he is able to get away

i think he was only hung for having such a nice family and the other guy didn't...he was kinda jealous.

basically the original film is about the civil war and how terrible it really was..

@RoobenRedd The Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge by Ambrose Bierce is a short story regarding a soldier during the American Civil War. This film remakes the short story in modern day but is kind of forced and uninteresting. Well made though. Read the original short much better.

How did you film the beginning? Health and Safety wise, it must have been a nightmare but it was cleverly done. I'm doing something similar involving someone committing suicide and being saved by a passer by on a bridge, but our bridge is over traffic as opposed to a creek.
