Labyrinth was really my first real introduction to David Bowie, I knew briefly of him before that, the whole Nazi mess in the 70s and the songs Fame and Let's Dance, but it was this movie that had me finding out as much about him and his music as I could.

Excellent, thanks for posting this... I first watched it in 1988, two years after its release. I finally stumbled upon the DVD at a local store last week... am so thrilled to finally have my personal copy! It's great that the younger generation can still appreciate films like these... The soundtrack has a quintessential '80s sound and it still sounds awesome 23 years later. I am glad to have grown up in the good ol' 1980s! Music these days is too slick and manufactured... Bring back Bowie!
