  • Thanks! Love the tune that plays when you fight against the waves of indoctrinated alliance soldiers.

  • What is the name of the soundtrack which starts at 4:58 ? I love that whole tune.

  • Can you upload it to a different site really want the music

  • So epic as an exploding relay

  • Megaupload is dead =(

  • @TaePoDongIII oh shiiiet what ahappened to megaupload?! Ill upload it on Rapidshare then

  • @Ozai01 Thank you =D.

FYI MU was shut down by the US supreme court, you see the notice when you type in the URL. Last week they were arrested for illegal money landering/racketeering stuff or something. oh well, that was my fav host lol.

  • @Ozai01 FBI killed it. -.-

  • @Ozai01 They get closed out by the US government. When is the new link up?

  • @Ozai01

    SOPA PIPA attacked megaupload :(

  • For those who said this soundtrack sounds like TRON: Legacy soundtrack, I have the answer: Sasha Dikiciyan composed soundtrack for TRON: Evolution. :>

  • Well, helped anyway.

  • The best piece of music in Arrival isn't on here, ill try and download from the link but it's busy right now.

  • Arrival might have been sub-standard quality for a DLC, but the music was unquestionably the best part of it. That and the Object Rho fight.

Is it just me, or does it remind anyone else of TRON: Legacy's soundtrack?

  • For those who don't feel like downloading a big archive of all this, I uploaded these songs to Grooveshark. Search for "Mass Effect 2 Arrival"

  • The last piece is just gorgeous! No sacriface in vain!

  • The music during the destruction of the Alpha Relay is pretty powerful. Makes you think about the 300,000+ lives that were just extinguished to save trillions of others. At least for now.......

  • "Shepard is tearing us apart!"

  • I've downloaded all your extra ost's but...why are they so fragmented?....I come back here to listen to them rather than my downloaded files because I can't stand having fifty files that are thirty seconds long.

    Why'd you do that?

  • @LeVaughnX Because thats how long the songs are.

  • @Ozai01 Game soundtracks are written fragmented these days because that's how the engines work - something called dynamic audio. Whereas in the 90s the game would use random tracks from a CD, these days the music is called by the programming based on where the player is and what they are doing. That calls for shorter loops and fades rather than a set of invidual five-minute tracks. Comercially released soundtracks are mixes made from the loops and fades, whereas this is a raw rip.

  • @Ozai01 Yet you made them flow so well in this video...Damn it...

  • It would've been funny if the asteroid never destroyed the Mass Relay but was shot through right behind the Normandy. I wonder what Joker would say if he saw that the asteroid followed him through the relay.

  • @VinnieLepore and then all the reapers /facepalm as the Normandy gets obliterated :D

  • 3:17 is my favorite. so cosmic and atmospheric. i wish mass effect 3 will have more like that one. i think they used it in the e3 demo when shepard meets mordin.

  • @Suprnovo3 Maybe it'll have something to do with that dark energy Tali had to research on Haelstrom.

  • Probably the best of all the DLC soundtracks. I hope these composers can do some work alongside Clint Mansell in ME3.

  • Recognise some of the music they used in the ME3 footage at E3

  • The work Mansell did for Pi got my hopes up for him. I think he'll be able to pull it off.

  • Cris Velasco also did the God of War soundtracks, so I'm not surprised that Arrival's music was as satisfying as this. I'll be impressed if Mansell can beat this though.

  • after listening to mansell's work with movies like the fountain, i'm pretty optimistic. i think his dramatic style will suit mass effect 3 well. also, in the extended gameplay dmeo/trailer when shepard is on earth, escaping with captain anderson, i think the piano part when you come across the kid in the vents was composed by mansell. i really liked the way it sounded. very fitting for the atmosphere in my opinion.

  • The Arrival's soundtrack is excellent just like the whole ME series'... The ending is damn great!

  • SO AWESOME! JUST LIKE BLADE RUNNER!

  • This is great!! Thanks! :D

  • I really think that these guys would be better suited for Mass Effect's style of music than Clint Mansell. Not to say I don't hope that he'll do a great job. I just think the music style here would probably work very well in the setting they've got going on for Mass Effect 3.

  • @SooperNoobie Agreed.

  • Thats badass the very beginning sounds like Requiem of a Dream. This music is brilliant it expresses the feeling of the deep breath before the plunge, a hint of the epicness to come.

  • Ozai do you think that Clint Mansell will do a good job for the music in ME3? Also do you think that the new story writer will do alright?

Personally, I'm nervous as hell for the final game..They seem to bring on very shitty people (the story writer sucks from what I've heard and Clint can't produce anything with this kind of quality) for the final epic bang...

    Thoughts?

  • @LeVaughnX I think the new Musik composer will do fine.. he better.. As for the Story... the plot for ME2 and ME3 were already done when MAss Effect 1 was published. Dont know if Drew will work on ME3 now tho. There will be some minor story adds I suppose. But since the ME3 plot is done already you shouldnt worry too much.

  • @Ozai01 Though I disagree that Clint Mansell is a better composer than Jack Wall, whether or not he is better is of no consequence. The question is whether or not he can compose music that fits well with Mass Effect 3.

  • @Ozai01 source please?

They really wrote the plot before already?

  • @LeVaughnX

Havent you heard Lux Aeterna or the "Moon" soundtrack?

  • @LeVaughnX I would'nt worry too much. Even though some of the Composers and writers may not be great Bioware is still their boss, if it don't sound right im sure Bioware will let them know. Usually a composer will make several tracks and have the teams listen to see which one will work. So the final decision is Bioware so I think we will be ok.

  • @LeVaughnX Keep in mind at the heart of it all is still Casey Hudson, the man essentially behind the ME universe, so it will still be a magnificent game story-wise

  • @LeVaughnX Drew Karpyshyn and Mac Walters are excellent writers but if you were talking about some other writers then I should check who have they brang...

  • I realy didnt want to say it but .... looks like 1 batarian is still pissed at shepard for nuking one of there planets .

  • I love the music where you are fighting against Object Rho.

  • Forgive me for not reading the comments. I am stupid.

  • @TheShadowNemesis haha its ok! Jack wall Doesnt do the Mass effect Soundtracks anymore so bioware chose a few others. These are the same guys who composed the Kasumi DLC soundtracks :)

  • @Ozai01 Even before Jack Wall called it quits on composing the Mass Effect 3 soundtrack, BioWare used other composers for newly-composed music DLC music.

Sascha Dikiciyan & Cris Velasco composed the music for Kasumi's DLC, and Christopher Lennertz composed the music for Overlord and Lair of the Shadow Broker.

Though I would expect that BioWare would use the latter composer, since he worked with BioWare more recently, the Arrival DLC doesn't quite sound like his work, so you may be correct.

  • @TheShadowNemesis Don't beat yourself up; this is just youtube, so rest assured that you're among like-minded individuals...lol

  • Is this also composed by Jack Wall? I love his music and recognize his style in there but I am not sure about it.

  • Thanks! Heads up.

  • Did anyone else get a kick out of seeing what admiral Hacket actually looked like too?

  • I forgot those other three composers. I saw their names fly by in the credits, but couldn't read them in time. Who are they again?

  • Thanks for your work.

But the reason i searched for Arrival soundtrack is because of the music playing when u get to control mech (just after you wake uo from failed sedation). Do you have that one as well?

  • @Moktok1 I have Reuploaded it and also added the other missing Soundtracks. Enjoy lol.

  • @Ozai01

    Thanks mate.

  • @Ozai01 i love when mordin says that......its so mischevous. Thanks for the riped tracks.

  • @Ozai01

It was Jack's own decision to not do the ME3 track, I read an article about it. Should be easy to find.

Bioware doesn't have much choice if the composer doesnt want to do it.

  • @Marchochias They still had a choice. The one of not forcing him to compose a music he didn't want to do. While ME2 soundtrack is great, you can clearly hear the difference with the first game and something tells me that BioWare or EA wanted the music to go further in that direction rather than the ME1 feeling. Reason why Jack Wall preferred to step out.

  • Excellent work as always Ozai. It's so much easier to get these songs off of your videos, rather than having to scour the darkest reaches of the interweb for them.

    I salute thee.

  • I like the idea of multiple composers for the Mass Effect series. If all 5 composers got together (Jack Wall in ME and ME2, Chris Lennertz for Shadow Broker and Overlord, Sascha Dikiciyan and Cris Velasco for this and Kasumi, and Clint Mansell for ME3) and worked on separate but equal parts of ME3.... (Jack Wall would have to work on DLC because of current unstated complications.)

  • When Earth is about to experience a catastrophic apocalypse and there's a distinguishable countdown for it, these tracks would probably be very fitting.

  • This soundtrack is indeed the perfect fusion of ME1 and ME2. The darkness of ME2 combined with the sci-fi look of ME.

  • I was under the impression it was Clint Mansell. Oh well.

  • not neraly as powerfull as shadow broker DLC

  • I did not fully appriciate the fact that over hundreds of thousands of batarians died. It sucked that no matter what you do, they're going to die. Court at Earth is gonna suck.

  • best ME2 soundtrack yet

  • I always choose the renegade options when talking to reapers in ME1+2. I just enjoy to piss off these giant metal cocroaches ^^ 3:0 for mankind you alien f****ers ;-)

  • I was a little bit disappointed with Arrival OST : for me it doen't suit very well with the score of Mass Effect 2 (the game, not the DLCs). Not that I doen't like this music ; listened alone, it's quite good and I really like the work of this 2 composers on Prototype OST ; but I really prefer jack Wall or Christopher Lennertz, who has scored the music for Overlord and LOTSB.

Ha, and sorry for my bad english, I'm French ! :D

  • I like this DLC, even if i was a bit disappointed. LotSB was damn good, so i guess i expected too much from the last ME2 DLC before ME3. However, it is a great end for the ME2 story if you play it AFTER the suicide mission. SPOILER----I love the smalltalk with Harbinger when he/it means that Shepard starts pissing them off ^^ (german version, so i just translated it, maybe its not the same in the original one)

  • @McBaal Don't worry, your right :) In the English one too it is clear Shep is starting to piss them off. I find that pretty funny, considering how Harbinger always claims Reapers are superior.

  • What bitrate do the songs have originally, ie in the gamefiles?

  • @mai1992 Read Description.

  • This music combines the best of ME1 and ME2. I can't believe how phenomenal all the music has been, even for the DLCs. I can't wait until Mass Effect 3!

  • How did you upload this with video yesterday? O.o

  • @TKnightcrawler well why not? xD

  • My jaw dropped all the way on the ground when I played the DLC.

Especially that you will do this mission: ALONE.

I got hard time too in Insanity, LOL!

  • This DLC got me depressed, haha.

The feeling of isolation or something, ME is def. getting darker.

  • 7.30 WOOOOOOOOOWWWW

  • The part at the end reminds me of Homeworld :P

  • Hey guys. Glad to hear people like our music. There is btw, more music in the DLC.

  • Really enjoyed arrival! And the soundtrack was just great. Yeah and as someone else said, its a perfect mix of ME1 & ME2's soundtracks!

  • Will you be able to give us time-stamps for what brings each individual soundtrack segment? For example combat, final boss etc? :) Music sounds great though. *idly twiddles thumbs waiting for PC*

  • @Caytel I dont know myself yet, i havent noticed the music in the game so much but im sure youll have fun to find out XD

  • Dude, this music is, like, a perfect fusion of ME1 and 2.

    Ah, so happy.

  • @lollerfisk

    I hope it's a taste of ME3's soundtrack.

The music during the ending scene of this DLC (You know the part) is phenomenal.

  • Awesome DLC

  • For all who dont know yet, This music was nooot composed by JACK WALL

these are the same gusy who composed all the Kasumi DLC Soundtracks

    Cris Velasco & Sascha Dikiciyan

  • Jesus christ....the music made me feel...I don't know how to describe it!

I hope this DLC is really worth buying - I hope it concludes ME2...I hope its the DLC that bridges the gap between ME2 and 3...

Ozai - is it worth it? Is it truely, that fucking epic?

  • @LeVaughnX This is worth buying trust me on this.....this is the final DLC that will bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3. Even all the stuff done here will indeed carry over to ME3. It was confirmed by IGN and Bioware

  • @MarioMitch25914Reach Well I'm a Mass Effect fucking junkie, and I just want to know if...its...really....amazing....>>..

  • @LeVaughnX it is trust me. Beat the story first because there is some nice dialog options after you finished the mission...but I don't want to give away too much or your going to have me spoil the entire event

  • @LeVaughnX It's good worth the buy but I was a little disappointed wasn't on Shadow Broker dlc level. Still buy it you'll love it.

  • @Chromie192 Yeah I loved every DLC really - even Overlord had its special moments to me.

Even back on ME1 I thought Bringing Down the Sky was cool.

Now how wasn't it on par with LOTSB? Like...story lacking orrrr length lacking?...Don't ruin it for me I'm just tryin to get a spoiler free heads up xD

  • @LeVaughnX Even Overlord? I thought it was awesome though! Hopefully that's how we get to complete side missions in Mass Effect 3. Overlord had great use of the Hammerhead and Shadow Broker well...it's the best imo. I'll say Arrival story wise is a great setup for Mass Effect 3 and the ending of Arrival would be an awesome intro to ME3 seriously. But it's all COMBAT really I just wanted a little more talkikng ><

Still buy it, worth it just don't expect Shadow Broker level of dlc.

  • @LeVaughnX LOTSB is just so awesome. You enter Liara's apartment and ME2 just feels darker. The atmoshphere it just more serious. The action is frantic ofcourse. But I like a lot of dialogue in my dlc. Arrival doesn't have a lot. It's still great buy it!

LOTSB added a couple of things though that were useful even after you complete the dlc. Such as paying credits for some missions that you could randomly complete or fail or respeccing your team mates. I just assumed Arrival would have done so

  • @LeVaughnX Its $7. How can you go wrong? 2 cups of coffee are more expensive ;)

  • @buzzfunk *Tactical Face Palm* I didn't say anything about the price I asked if its worth it.

I love Dragon Age Origins but I'm not going to waste my money on their DLC even if its "$7.00". My point is - is the money worth spending, is the DLC that high of quality.
