a few videos won't help that much because the so called"haters" are not really the ones that need to change, most of the time people get butthurt from criticism. Fucking criticism! if you don't want it just ignore it, it's seriously not that hard.
Honestly if anything needs to change it's the attitude of ours, if you'll cry over every word then you'll just get more haters, it's simple internet logic that people apparently forgot.
- I or no one expects that it will be changed with a viddy or two, but everything helps. A little more everyday, it will get at least better or worse, but we do not know. We aren't those who can read the future, and that is why we learn. :)

Okay, I have read all the long comments now, and you all are right in a way or another. :) I can't say it better myself, and the reason why I wanted to do something about this is that under a long time I was down and broken. Editing is where you can express your feelings in a magical way, but when it comes to a breaking point where you want to leave or stop editing, even if you think it's the most funny thing in the whole world, even if you wanna escape real, then I start to feel a bit annoyed.-
I left the AMV community about a year ago. I still talk to my close AMV friends, but I don'twith new ones. I started youtube in 2005. So I knew how fun it use to be, how everybody used just WMM, and we never really started drama. But things change, I changed. Started editing more live actions shows then Disney. I got sick of seeing people fight on the community so I left. Got on the live action side, and the people there remind me of what it was before for the AMV. I will always miss that.
Hell, I've been around since the start of this community. 6 years is an awful long time to be editing, don't cha think? And, yes. There's some nasty, spiteful jealous people here, there always has been. There's video stealers, to begin with.
Ok, ok. I speak from personal experience here. People who steal videos want the attention, they want to make an amv, but because everybody here is BLINDED by the light of certain people I could mention they are rude and inconsiderate to them.
Can we really blame them? In a way, yes. They shouldn't steal videos, and I've learnt from that. But WE'VE made this mess by jumping onto the bandwagon and trying to take inspiration from popular videos
The comments.Really? I actually cant believe you've made this video Whitey. I don't want to hate on you in the slightest, but seriously? Come on guys, how many videos have we seen that bore the comment, "You copied Whiteliolynx?"

Even though she's a fairly good editor and her name is practically everywhere on amv's it's going to take a lot more than a few words and its not Whitey who's saying "That's my style!" It's other subscribers that are taking the matter into there own hands.

But, I feel that this video is a play for attention. I just think that this video creates unnecessary "drama"- a more effective way to combat all this hate would to simply comment on some videos from time to time, expecially from the ones who get targeted because of their style.

Exactly! If she wanted to "Fix the community" the first step is to start commenting on video, expecially to the fans that comment on HER videos! Every other popular editor, for example Alphawolfkodi leaves at least ONE comment on each of his videos, expressing his gratitude and apologising because he can't reply to every comment.
This barrier is DEFINITELY there, it seems to separate the classes of editors. Are we not worthy of your attention?
I honestly Havent really been involved in the AMV community in while, nor am that noticed. But I honestly think it has changed. But not in a way where people have to be forced to be fixed or anything... There is so much judgement and fights over the most pathetic of things. We have people grouping up on one, or bad mouthing behind backs as I have witnessed before. It is sad to see. And some of the lanuage and explicity used... ESPECIALLY from 9-14 year olds. it is just crazy
There's always going to be drama. It's in every community. Every group. This AMV/Animash community is no different. There's drama in the MLP community, Pokemon community, even in the rich hoity toity yacht clubs. It's what humans do, and we have to live with it. Not everyone will agree or like everything that everyone else does, and that's obvious. If someone dislikes a video, they aren't necessarily a troll, they could just NOT like it. Instead of videos, let's just grow from it.

I used to think speaking out would help but it doesn't so i reckon these stupid "fix the community" videos need to stop. i agree with everything you said and i started to make AMVS in the middle of 2008 it was fun but as i went on i went from editing live action film to animes and animated filmsd and now it animated films and anime. I don't my self as the best becuse i suck and I'm still learning as i go and i'm only doing AMVs for a fun/hobbie to perpar my self to become a pro video/film editor and I love to edit and do something that make you feel like no one is forcing you to do anything. again agreed

Nah, let's not XD the YT "community" died a long time ago. I was joining as it died, and it was an awful shame to see. The things that matter now are all the snazzy effects and cookie cutters and how many subs you have. No comments are ever answered no-one ever chats anymore and everyone thinks they're better than each other behind a screen. It's the interwebs...it'll destroy itself. Probably best for those who still do have fun on here just to carry on.

I have no idea how involved you've been in "the community", but it's never been peaceful. There have always been riffs, always been fights, always been different ideas clashing with one another. I agree with you completley. Whenever you see those rude comments, don't worry about them. They are either jealous, disliked it for song choice (you won't believe how many AMV-makers get hate for the song they used...), or just want to be assholes. I think no one knows how to give good constructive critism anymore. I guess the new era of AMV-ing is all about textures and colors and more graphic-ey but along with that everyone seems more rude about these changes. I love your stuff a lot! :D

This is something i'd be impartial about, since i don't have a lot of time in the community. But apparently it just got personal. I have nothing against people disagreeing with me or even hating me for my thoughts (Haters gonna hate...), but that is not excuse to be mean about it. I'm an idealistic person and I have faith in this idea , heck i would of started it myself if i had the supporters!
Case and point: It's going to be a long and hard road to cross, but together we can do it! I suggest we make an organized manifest to show the "bad people" not only that they need to stop being mean but also to show them why their way hurts others. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not saying we shouldn't use sparkles or sony vegas anymore , but instead im proposing that people shouldn't throw away other styles. No offense, but most sparkle editors I see use almost the exact same style, and I dont understand why everyone thinks
1. Okay I've been on youtube since like the dawn of time but I didn't actually join until 2009 i think. The way youtube was then was ALOT better in my opinion. People all used the same type of program so we were all equals in a way. Sony vegas popped up, and dont get me wrong, the things that you can do with vegas is AMAZING, But i think alot of people who can't access it are jealous, also because now alot of people here on YT will ONLY watch SV videos and regard the rest as being trash.
I personally think that some people who need to act mature. I joined YT to have fun and make friends. But seriously, can for once we have something not to fight over. I mean first it was the whole Sony Vegas/other advance editing program vs WMM, then we had the whole fighting about using free masking, and now we have fights over styles. Seriously how ridicules could people get these days. I'm sorry but I'm gonna be totally honest here,
@ArixayChan if a person can't take editing seriously, like only editing to be popular or to get more subscribers than other editors, or just go on and act immature, I'm sorry but maybe YT isn't the place for you. I think a person should act mature before they go and start editing. You edit videos here on YT to make friends and to share your talents with others, editing isn't about competition, it's all about having fun and making friends, and expressing yourself through editing.
I agree. I love your style, but I see other excellent animashers and if they used any flashy effects, they get told they're 'just copying whiteliolynx'. Personally, I don't understand why we can't all just accept the videos at face value: look, this is what someone made. It is a wonderfully made video. The end.
Tbh Most of it starts with studio teams and productions. they get mad. and all start fighting. it also comes from getting inspired. D: Most of the time it's all a wonderful experience where you can make many new friends and create lasting bonds with your fellow YouTubers, but there are some who just want to put you down no matter what you do. I think the idea of making a video to express how we fell is a reallly good idea, I always wanted to reupload my very first video on my actual channel but the problem is that it was one of the video that gave me one strike -_- hate youtube è_é
I've been editing for 7 years now but I never been really known here and it doesn't bother me 'cause I don't edit for the others, I edit for my own entertainement :3 But I understand when people say ''I miss the old community'' 'cause when I had my very first channel I got like 50 subbers in like 1 month and more than half of them were friends with me but they were REAL friends but now most of us get over 300 subbers and friends but only 10(just an example) of them really give a shit of us :(
i think that instead of people hating they should politley tell them what should be improved and if is just a personal thing that someone does not like like the music that they have than just dont watch the video dont go on there saying that its the worst ever.

This is probably just me, but I don't see this big problem that the AMV community is dealing with. It's perfect to me, more than perfect, it's heaven. There's a little bit of hatred and fighting every now and then, but I haven't seen as much as people say there is. My philosophy? Let YouTube bring you up, not bring you down. I'm not hating on what you're trying to do here, there's nothing wrong with trying to fix something, I just don't see what there is to fix.

Well I most say that I came here in 2009 and I really didn't knew about this animash community, I was more like from the real life footage side on that year and I absolutely didn't knew how people made friends just by being part of an editing community. I left the AMV community about a year ago. I still talk to my close AMV friends, but I don'twith new ones. I started youtube in 2005. So I knew how fun it use to be, how everybody used just WMM, and we never really started drama. But things change, I changed. Started editing more live actions shows then Disney. I got sick of seeing people fight on the community so I left. Got on the live action side, and the people there remind me of what it was before for the AMV. I will always miss that.

Hell, I've been around since the start of this community. 6 years is an awful long time to be editing, don't cha think? And, yes. There's some nasty, spiteful jealous people here, there always has been. There's video stealers, to begin with.
Ok, ok. I speak from personal experience here. People who steal videos want the attention, they want to make an amv, but because everybody here is BLINDED by the light of certain people I could mention they are rude and inconsiderate to them.

Exactly! If she wanted to "Fix the community" the first step is to start commenting on video, expecially to the fans that comment on HER videos! Every other popular editor, for example Alphawolfkodi leaves at least ONE comment on each of his videos, expressing his gratitude and apologising because he can't reply to every comment.

But not in a way where people have to be forced to be fixed or anything... There is so much judgement and fights over the most pathetic of things. We have people grouping up on one, or bad mouthing behind backs as I have witnessed before. It is sad to see. And some of the lanuage and explicity used... ESPECIALLY from 9-14 year olds. it is just crazy

There's always going to be drama. It's in every community. Every group. This AMV/Animash community is no different. There's drama in the MLP community, Pokemon community, even in the rich hoity toity yacht clubs. It's what humans do, and we have to live with it. Not everyone will agree or like everything that everyone else does, and that's obvious. If someone dislikes a video, they aren't necessarily a troll, they could just NOT like it. Instead of videos, let's just grow from it.

i agree with everything you said and i started to make AMVS in the middle of 2008 it was fun but as i went on i went from editing live action film to animes and animated filmsd and now it animated films and anime. Nah, let's not XD the YT "community" died a long time ago. I was joining as it died, and it was an awful shame to see. The things that matter now are all the snazzy effects and cookie cutters and how many subs you have. No comments are ever answered no-one ever chats anymore and everyone thinks they're better than each other behind a screen. It's the interwebs...it'll destroy itself. I agree with you completley. Whenever you see those rude comments, don't worry about them. They are either jealous, disliked it for song choice (you won't believe how many AMV-makers get hate for the song they used...), or just want to be assholes. I think no one knows how to give good constructive critism anymore. I guess the new era of AMV-ing is all about textures and colors and more graphic-ey but along with that everyone seems more rude about these changes. I love your stuff a lot! :D

1. Okay I've been on youtube since like the dawn of time but I didn't actually join until 2009 i think. The way youtube was then was ALOT better in my opinion. This is probably just me, but I don't see this big problem that the AMV community is dealing with. It's perfect to me, more than perfect, it's heaven. There's a little bit of hatred and fighting every now and then, but I haven't seen as much as people say there is. My philosophy? Let YouTube bring you up, not bring you down. I'm not hating on what you're trying to do here, there's nothing wrong with trying to fix something, I just don't see what there is to fix.

poor people they copy hoping that maybe they will integrate in the comunity too ,because i noticed that the real life of most editors are kinda lonely,and mostly people join to forget about theyr problems and make some friends

@TheHorseGrrl i dont care about copuing but whe have to ghange atidude about each other..i hate the way how everyone treats for example new editors..and what if they ar not so good as you whats the problem? also some people complain about the fact that beginers try to get near them and get famous?i cant deny maybe there are and this kind of people too but at least be polite ..not ingore them and treat like trash

My videos may not be the best but, you definitely inspired me and I'm better then I was because of you. There are many editors I like because their talent is awesome. You, DupFur, Viinca, BlackShinx, you're all awesome and deserve ever sub you have. Congrats on having over 11,000 btw. When I subbed to you, you only had about 3,000. x3

Well I most say that I came here in 2009 and I really didn't knew about this animash community, I was more like from the real life footage side on that year and I absolutely didn't knew how people made friends just by being part of an editing community. So I can't argue about the old animash community cause I was practically out of it in that time, I didn't used to hang with any other editor. I don't do this because I want to be popular, I do this as a way of sharing my thoughts and feelings. So I think the idea of making a video with your feelings is kinda weird but It could still work a little bit with all this. One thing is sure, we will NEVER really stop the fighting among editors, there are just so many people who are just looking for a way to make others feel tiny, but count with me. I'll definitely do the video with my feelings it would be nothing new since these people who have seen my videos can tell a lot about my feelings from them <3

ok here is my opinion..btw i am a litle bit upset ,i got some problems with the computer now..
first everithyng started from you guys..indeed i am prety old here and thought i am not editing anymore i remember the old times..the thing is you guys dont suport at all each other why a lot of people copy? because if you guys dont notice a good editor in someone you ingore it.and act with him like a trash..
