Charles was born to privilege and had specific rigid obligation that prevented him from understanding Diana and his subjects for that matter. wow the "two wives" joke was soooooooo distasteful on charles' part; just looking at diana's face and body language speaks volumes on what was really going on behind closed doors as well as how she felt about the whole facade. i was six going on seven when diana passed and to this day it makes me want to cry remembering the death of the woman that made me want to be a princess :'( ily diana.

I live in England and have noticed that people here aren't patriotic anymore. The only time they were remotely patriotic was during the World Cup 2010. After England got kicked out, the patriotism died. I wish England were more patriotic like when Diana was alive.

She never lost that. She was the one and only person from that twisted, corrupt family to actually give a damn about others and that made was so very special. Charles and Diana came to my home town in 1983 - you should have seen her. She was so much more beautiful than the pictures could possibly show, and she was unbelievably thin. You could see all the bones in her hands when she shook the crowd's hands and took the flowers, lilacs, a lot of them, as they were in bloom. People were truly disappointed to be on Charles' side of the street, it was so obvious on their long faces, and I think he bitterly resented how much everyone loved her, not him.
