however if you add an effect on an instrument in a certain pattern it adds the effect to that instrument throughout each pattern... does this mean that if you want to add a glitch to the piano at the start, you will have to open a 2nd piano channel to use it normally after the into????
no u dont have to open another channel. u can make patterns where u mute or unmute the effect, where u edit the volume of the effect etc. hope this one will help. watch?v=GIYG36b5Bds . u can use edit events on every knob, volume, cut off, res, whatever.
i'm not sure what u mean by that, but if u'r talkin bout adding effects on only one channel (instrument) than u will see that every channel (kick, snare, hat, synth) when u open channel setting(by clicking on it) has a small square in the upper right corner that's called FX. Click and hold left mouse button on it and move the mouse up and down and set a number. Than, in upper left corner of FL window click on VIEW and select mixer (or just click F9).
its gorg but you can add some high pitched effects, btw its kinda oldschool haha

i just started using fl and its pretty fun! made some psy but its mostly just a whole lot of bass drops... no tunes haha..
with effects and stuff how do you make it so it is just on 1 pattern and not the whole song...? or just one instrument such as kick but not piano?
