Wheelock ASs are loud no matter where you are. I had to plug my ears with my fingers one time when a set of ASs sounded in the area I was. And even the Exceders were loud that were sounding at the time.

I saw the same BG 12 alarm but you could turn the alarm off by pushing the handle back up and it turned off the alarm what model was this? Was this one where it wasn't hooked up to an alarm station or fire alarm panel?

You accidentally said "BG-12" instead of "BG-10".

The AS is so loud because the maximum voltage is 24 volts. Also, be careful hooking your AS up to your panel. My panel fryed due to my AS

How did it fry? I hooked it up to my crappy Fire Lite MS-4424 and it was fine...

My Panel Fried because of the curcuitry in the AS. The panel is not made to supply power to something that has a delay.

if your going to use the as agian do what i did. i put my old as on a relay instead of the panel and the panel tripped the relay.

careful. it will take time but will destroy the panel. i recommend putting it on a relay and hook the relay up to the panel.
