  • my 2011 has been in the shop 3 times and a total of 46 days all that has happened under manufacturer warranty

  • Its not junk

  • It aint junk retard

  • Junk.

  • They dont break at all. My dad go his in '98 and it has never had a major problem only oil and battery changes

  • nice polaris 4 wheeler

  • For all you idiots saying they break easy I had mi since last year never had to take it in yet

  • I like the older polaris. i would never buy a newer one cause those basterds are moving to mexico. fucking traiders.

  • @53mtbrider LOL Yeah!!! Buy an Outty..they've been built in Mexico since 2006!! Kudo's to Polaris for holdin off this long...90% of what you buy is made in another Country. do your homework, Oh and keep shoppin Walmart!!

  • @AtomicRunt lmao thumbs up! let's keep buying goods from other countries and crying that our economy is in the shitter!

  • @dezigurl358 Totally agree.

  • lovee this!!!!

  • I tried it -- I liked it alot - I want to buy one - but the single lever breaking forces me to not buy one -- the lack of 2 levers is NOT a feature ,it is a flaw -- fix it polaris

  • my polaris sportsman rear end bends like no other we had to fix and weld 3 times and just broke so we have to get a whole new rear end and lots of other things have broke!!!!!!!!!!

  • Everyone should be aware that Polaris is cutting hundreds of jobs in Osceola,Wisc. and taking alot of the production to Mexico. shame on them. All A.T.V.'s will have low rider kits and Snowmobile seat padding will be made from Marijuana leaves.

  • Needs better tires, stock ones are garbage get Pitbulls.

  • Polaris 850 XP I love mine until this kast weekend, My Belt Broke and had to be pulled out by a Honda.....

One of the selling points was Polaris stated that there belts would easilly get 5000 miles out of them. I use to consider my XP a Perfet 10......Now I am thinking a 7.5

A belt is not covered under the warranty either, It is considered a consumable Item.

My question is......Might there be a better Quality Belt out there that will last better....Gates Perhaps?

  • I´m in love with this atv!!!

  • 99 percent new!!! :>

  • exactly if you guys dont like polaris why are you looking them up on you tube definitly sounds like jealousy. go watch you own videos i love polaris and i dont go watch arctic cat or ski doo videos or yamaha. so yeah you guys go ahead and love your jap crap ill stick with my polaris

  • @zigzag4200000 I hate people that say that polaris's break down easily when they have never even owned one or barely seen one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just saying just because u own a honda suzuki or whatever don't think its the best atv in the world plus if you hate polaris why r u watchin this vid!!!!

stop posting rude comments on videos because ur just jealous u don't own a polaris!!+ polaris is made in usa so its american muscle

  • suzuki was the first to offer a irs rear suspention in an atv - NOT polaris

  • i just wanna know if these things are badder and better than the brute forces and the can- ams

  • Uh oh, sounds like they let teenagers post here.....

    Polaris rules.

  • Polaris is super heavy really big they break down all the time and if you wreck with one of those you will get squashed.i even rode the Polaris xp 850 and it is horrible who ever owns a Polaris is a pathetic loser.switch to Yamaha.they almost never have problems

  • Polaris sucks

  • and you are a patetic loser

  • why wont they just let someone i know pass credit for it or why wont some one do it.

  • When you get out of grade 7, try this comment thing again.

TOO SLOW? WTF? Where do you live, prairies? Come to BC and I'll show you why it's good to go slow downhill and not have to rely on brakes.

  • Just bought my secong 850 XP EPS, the only modifications are 27 sparticus radials and & 28 swamp lite tires. We ride with a group of about 60 people and would say the entire range of ATV's are represented. The only unit's even close to the 850 all have lifts and 29 or 30 inch tires. Even then I can usually outperform them in the mud. None of them are close when it comes to performance.

  • lol...yeah i just got an XP and it has 12 in. of ground clearance....everything i go through, no one else has a chance!!!! plus, u cant go wrong with the Lock 'n Ride!!! The Outty is OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The CAN AM Outlander is far better than this bulky XP tank.-- For example, the XP weighs more than 100lbs more than the nimble Outlander. It has to use a 850cc engine@ 70 hp while the Outlander uses a 800cc engine and produces 71hp. In board brakes on the Outlander is far better than than having them at each wheel, less upsprung weight, & more mass centralization. I could go on for hrs on this kind of stuff.

  • Yeah, the Outty is better until the 1st time you clip a stump or tree and the frame bends like a soda can (and in the process does major drive train damage).... Been down that road... After I payed my $500 deductible and the insurance co. payed the other $4k, I sold that Outty POS. It was an '09 with less than 200 miles on her.

I'll keep on ride'n my new "XP Tank" and will never go back to Outty!

  • @QuadExpert1 check out the videos polaris xp vs can am outlander there are you facts bud outlanders suck balls

  • nice PLASTIC racks lmfao

  • mine is great but now i got to get it fixed... again !

  • lol not so great

  • We had this one but changed it to 500. The 750 was a little bit too powerful for our trailer, but 500 is ok only too soft back suspension.

  • it seems like a nice bike, but its so freaking ugly and sounds so gay.

  • i think polaris did their homework on these new xp's

  • all show no go

  • lol no go? its an 850 dude

  • sooo? guarentee the can am outlander 800 can kick this thing without a problem

  • dude, ive had 2 can-am's. and they both suck dick. and they both got sold. they wrent reliable, and i thought they rode like shit even though some people beg to differ.

  • i hate clownshoe salesman/company reps. they are fucking toolbags.

  • if it werent so dam ugly...i like everything else about it

  • I have an 07 sportsman 800 and I haven't had a moments trouble with it. Of course I do take care of it and don't ride it like it's stolen. Most people who think a certain 4 wheeler is junk is because they had one or know someone who had one and probably ragged the shit out of it.

  • polaris

    look nice but brake down

    think different?

3 of my friends all with polaris hav to go bring it to the shop to get fix

    still like them tho

  • I had a grizzly 700 but i had an accident and its toast, this is the next quad i want

  • sportsman 500cc

best quad i have ever had but i am looking into this 850cc

    though

  • luv it !

  • What's the best Mudding Polaris four wheeler?

  • i have a 98 300 xplorer and it runs like it is brand new

  • POLARIS THE KING OF SMOOTH RIDE..

If you plan on riding a couple hundred miles on the HATFIELD and McCoy or Brimstone Recreational..

Theres nothing else, that will make the ride that pleasant...

  • Hey nice ATV, i love polaris i have a sportsman 300 i put 100 miles on it in 3 weeks its a very dependable atv nice video

  • tires are too skinny

  • that's what gives it height. most utility are skinny

  • The front tires are skinny ya, but the back tires on polaris fourwheelers are insanely wide. I have a '04 Sportsman 400 and the tires(still stock) on the back are like 15 inches wide atleast.

  • im look for a atv to beat up and still run like somewhat new i want to mud,mud hills, hill, trail and just ride im lookin at this or bigboss 6X6 or honda foreman witch one?

  • Being a Honda rider, I suggest the Foreman. We have three, a '95 400, an '02 450, and an '06 500, and we've never had a problem with any of them by just doing routine maintenance. Oh, and a message to anyone who may reply to my comment about how Honda sucks. Any Honda will outlast the POS that you'll say you ride. :D

  • yea dude, hondas are shitty for off roading, soo if i had one i'd probaly smash it with a sledge hammer from getting pissed at it, only thing hondas got is durability and people are saying there new hondas aint that durable.... sounds pretty gay, get a can am

  • the xp it is awsome

  • Comment removed

  • the polaris did not have the first independant rear suspention --- suzuki did

  • @sasktank stfu u dont know what ur talking about

  • how much do these usualy run in price range?

  • The Polaris Ranger really is like the Hummer of ATV's, I took that think places I wouldn't have take a Honda, or any ATV, I did try to take the Brute Force, but I accidently took it on a very difficult trail, not realizing which trail it was until It was basically too late, I mean difficult technical terrain, steeps, ruts, straddles, side hills, things that usually show an atv it's limits, Ranger performed like a hummer, it stayed planted, climbed, was stable, and comfortable.

  • I have owned Honda, rode plenty of Hondas, Owned Kawasaki, and Polaris =

ownded 2004 Honda Rancher 350 ES

    riden regularly =

    Honda 300 4x4s

    Honda Foreman 450 ES

    2003 Honda Rancher ES

    2003 Honda Rubicon

    ownded Kawasaki Brute Force 750

    Ownded Polaris Ranger 700EFI

I liked the Polaris the best, Honda is reliable, Polais is too, I liked the Polaris best, best ride, most capable, real reliable engine.Other parts could use some work though.Honda is ok

  • not a fan ill stick with the sportsman 500 ho

  • they look like shit but they are really powerfull.

  • You know absolutely jack shit about whats allowed and whats not. 2 strokes are allowed in whatever a monufacturer wants to put one in. As long as it's EPA certified.

Todays direct fuel injected 2 strokes produce less C02 than a 4 stroke producing the same power, not to mention weigh a lot less and produce more power. Ever heard of E-TEC? If not i'd suggest having a look, It's the future of 2 strokes. Anything with the Polaris name on it is a pure POS, time has proved that tenfold.

  • I just want to know where my cup holder for my beer is! LMMAO! :P

  • Sweet im getting the 550 XP this week or next week!!

  • How stupid is it ? to put the front winch down low in the front , that will really work well when you get stuck in the mud over the tires ,,, mount it just above the rad and do it right

  • Putting the winch low makes it easier to get out of a ditch, mud, ect. Even though you probably don't need the winch, its good to have one just in case you have to pull a Yamaha or Kawasaki out of the mud. ;) Also if you get the rack extenders you can link the hook to it.

  • they are pretty sweet

  • they should put it up against the grizzly 550 not the 450 it just shows how much they suck but i cant talk i have a sportsmen 500

  • about time they put the radiator on top

  • I'm gettin one, it's time to hand my 96 sportsman on to my son. It still runs like new by the way.

  • Power more than makes up for the weight.

  • real good lookin bike, just real heavy

  • hey i just bought one of these ATV's today. It is a beast! trust me

  • Talking about the new lock and ride system on the XP and making over 100 new lock and ride accessories will the older sportsmans lock and rides work on this one ?

  • yep

  • What is the anticipated Polaris death rate for demographic groups 12-18 male? LOL How many body bags does the storage box handle? Do the body bags have the Polaris logo? hahaha i crack myself up

  • new this new that, and it still looks like a god damn Polaris from 15 years ago. I see they also like to copy names from BRP, the XP is from the skidoo line up. Whats next? A Sportsman REV? Fuck.

  • that is the gayest argument i have ever heard.

  • AHAHAH let me guess. You own one, of course it's the best at everything. Grow up a bit man, just cause you don't like something a person says doesn't make it gay. LMAO.

If thats the route you wanna go though........thats the gayest bike i've ever seen.

  • it just is funny that you think they crossed some moral line by using the name xp, standing for extreme performance, something they have been useing for about five years now starting with the ranger. plus, this shit happens all the time. you dont see my crying that canam starting putting H.O. on all there engines, something they borrowed from polaris, or that they now have a R at the end of the outlander and renegade. BOO HOO!

  • Extreme performance? From a four wheeler? Give me a break, those thinks are slow as balls.

As for CanAm putting H.O. on their bikes....BRP has produced a 600HO 2 stroke snowmobile engine since 2003. Thats where the name comes from. And the R at the end is from the 800R 2 stroke.

That's what they need to put in a bike to make things interesting, 4 strokes suck. Bolt the 155HP 800R 2 stroke in there and hang on.

  • Polaris had the H.O. on the Scrambler in '99, you douche.

  • What's your point?

  • My point is that you claiming H.O. was in use by BRP before Polaris is bogus. I am also not claiming Polaris invented it, just arguing your claims. 60s Pontiac Firebird 455 H.O. anyone?

  • H.O was used by BRP before Polaris, if it wasn't I wouldn't of said it was. They used it on the 98 mxz 670HO. Argue that claim douche

  • Well you didn't say that originally, you said 'since 2003'. You need to be a little more clear when you are arguing something.

  • I'm not arguing anything man. Arguing on Youtube is like the special olympics.......even if you win your still a retard.

  • are you dumb? dont you know there are no more 2 stroke atvs?

    dumbass.

  • Who said anything about a 2 stroke ATV still being manufactured? Are you dumb?

    Shit tits.

Bolt the 155HP 800R 2 stroke in there and hang on.

you said that, they cant put it in there, they cant sell it like that. child.

  • Your takin shit too serious dick, it's a joke.

Of course they can't put a 160HP engine in a 4wheeler. I just said it would be cool if they put an engine in one that actually had some balls.

Now stop tryin to start shit with me over a fuckin month old post. You won't get anywhere.

    Old man.

  • they CAN put a snowmobile motor in an atv, they did it with a scrambler, search it on youtube, so, you ride snowmobiles, but why do you have to come on atv vids flaming? its childish, and btw since when is 28 old?

  • I know they CAN put a 2 stroke in a bike, Yamaha did it for years and they worked awesome. And yes, I do drive sleds, but also have a 4 wheeler. I've got a 08 renegade 800......big fuckin whoop. I'm not flaming ATV vids, just ones about shity bikes.

And since when is 22 a child?

  • they cant now, 2 strokes are outlawed in atvs.

and this is not a shitty atv, this 850 would blow the tires off of a stock renegade.

andi assumed you were a child by how immature your comments were.

if you dont like the new sportsman, why dont you go ride your can-am and let it break down.

  • Just what do you mean "blow the tires off of a renegade"?I hope to god your not talking about a race...

  • Is it as good as the Polaris diesel of a decade ago, haha.

  • nice nigger rims...

  • Ease up with the n word, you pot-bellied POS. Thanks.

  • NIGGER

  • Re: DeepVoiceMan.

    I'm white.

Your a pot-bellied pinkish pig cunt.

We are not interested in your deep throat abilities.

  • lol!! Fuck that was racist!!! LOL!!!

  • talk about a sexy atv

  • what would win 09 outlander 800 or 09 850 xp

  • outlander. can am's got the outlander's engine so finly tuned its amazing the only down side to the outlander is that the body on them is not very strong

  • This new Atv looks pretty awsome and they did alot of nice new changes but they now want you to buy your own front storage system on top of there ridiculous $11 000 price and the new polaris outlaw 2009 looks like abosolute shit i couldn't belive how ugly they made it , yeah its ligther but making it ugly doesn't help sell it im sorry the 2008 and 2007 are way nicer , meaner and aggresive

  • 70hp? damn. that's a lot. good idea, narrowing the tank between the legs. sounds like a well thought out quad. i see artcic cat has a mud specific quad with snorkels and such. seems like the manufacturers are really turning there ear to what customers are using these things for.

but really, when will the displacement and tire war end? bigger engines with bigger, wider tires come out every year, then they deepen the mud hole, and everyone needs to get bigger tires the next year, and on and on.

  • I still don't like how the front of the machine and the racks are almost molded as one. Other then that not too bad looking of a machine.

  • has anyone got a XP yet???

  • yes

  • Those are polymer racks man, and they dont rust like painted metal ones do

  • Your giving it to much credit, a lawn mower sounds like it has more balls then the polaris, they sound like a vacuum or a leaf blower but this 850 is the best thing polaris could do, and its a huge step up, I think they did a good job on this one, but they still got plastic racks

  • i personnaly never liked polaris. i always thought they were built heavy in the wrong areas. glad to see they have dual a arms tho. but honestly do you need 850 cc? just get a freakin ford ranger. same thing

  • lol who gives a fuck, what are you gonna do? jump with it? lol

  • nice... but I live outside USA, I paid for 2 of´em and wondered if they have been already delivered to the costumers.... because here don´t, but if you ever can afford one, you can jump with it...if you want.

  • ive seen people jump 800 polaris's but thats not what people use them for. even if this thing is heavy it will still smoke any honda or yamaha ute speed wise. it has more horsepower than a thundercat and a renegade. renegades have like 64 at the crank [which means nothing] that makes like 45 at the wheels.

  • For "smlmydslsmke" I know I hate that they put all the extra weight in the frame!

But what I really don't like is when they add all those extra supports! I mean who wants a frame that is a bit over kill, and what I really like is when people skimp in this area and put in a bunch of horse power thinking that customer wouldn't notice!

  • lol kinda like the renegades. i think those twist frames and stuff. i mean its just a single square tube frame. and for all the reason that i have a problem with their weight is because i have seen a polaris 800(not as heavy) get stuck in 10" of snow. he also had mudlites on. i drove through his tracks with a completely stock rancher 350. my guess is because i am light thats all i can think of

  • more weight would give you more traction up to a point. might have been just realy wet snow

  • WHAT??? No new shift knob :(

I agree that I will have to wait to see how it proves itself before I drop the $'s for one.

  • Looks like a decent rig. Time will tell if it lives up to expectations.

  • I just sold my 700 Sportsman which was in excellent condition and never had any problems with it and bought a Grizzly 700 EPS. The older Polaris ATV's had quality problems, but mine did not, I just prefer the Grizzly. Looks like the newest one Polaris will be a pretty good machine though I would never buy the first year of any major upgrade; Tundra...

  • i agree. but deff not with the yamaha honda and can am part. can am,honda, then suzuki

  • only thing i didnt like about is the plastics

  • I am not a big Polaris fan, But polaris did a good job on this and there new 550, I think polaris is headed in the right direction except for the power steering but other then that i think this is a huge step up

  • those bastards copied their no kickback steering design straight from the can-am ds450.

  • is that bad?

  • Maybe but......... wasn't the Polaris the first quad to come out with an independent suspension and cvt systems?

So............... Shut the fuck up!! hahahhahaahhah!!!!

  • The Can-am 800 has 69.?? hp. they used to have 64, but Can-am said the new 800 makes 9%more hp. CAN-AM=69.76 HP

    POLARIS=70

    What a huge difference.

  • Im not digging the loc n ride. Seems like something else to deal with. Plus he said there making accessories for just it. Other then that, looks fucking nice.

  • i have lock N Ride on my 800 its way better then it looks you just have to try it

  • What I meant was, the only stuff that will work on it is lock N ride. So you have to buy Polaris brand stuff to fit on it. You couldn't really go aftermarket with baskets or anything like that.

  • it has lots of places for tie downs and other types of hook ups

  • Not true make apattern of the lock and ride holes using paper then trnasfer them to the bottom of what ever box you want there then drill holes and use boat drain plugs to secure the boxes from the inside.

  • It's going to beat everything in power except for the thundercat and mabey the can an 800. Grizzly is lighter though. This machine weighs 784 pounds. The girzzly also has a better locker and is WAY more reliable polaris break down to easy. Breaking I don't know about that. The grizzly is still king though for off road performance.

  • acctually it has more horsepower then the thundercat

  • yeah people say that polaris are bad quality but what i hate about the jap atv's is that they are made so cheaply, with plastic skid plates and weak frames. sportsmans have stronger frames with full steel skid plates and stronger suspension components. why the hell do you think they weight 150 pounds more? never had a problem with my sportsman. the grizzly 700 is a toy compared to it

  • Of course it isn't. More weight doesn't mean something is better made. Those "jap" atv's are extrememly well made but like all vehicles, some are spec'd better than others. Personally, I like the Sportsman because you get a lot for your money. Quality-wise, they're well made but I've noticed that Polaris is a mixed bag itself. I've seen them with Fuji engines and Korean transmissions and those have been extremely reliable and I haven't noticed any quality issues.

  • a grizzly will never have the off road capabilitys of a sportsman all tehy have is top speed maybe and there lighter

  • This will add some competition. Steering will be great mabey even better than the Grizzly. Suspension will be on par with the grizzly to. Ground clearance is higher than the Grizz as well but not by much and the grizzly has more usable ground clearance.

  • competition? the 850 will blow the grizzly away

  • this is the first major update to the sportsman in over a decade. i follow this stuff closely and this looks like it could become top of its class. the new motor sounds great and it looks like it will be lighter with the new frame. it looks weird now but they all do.

  • buddies i was never a polaris fan cuz of their square looking front end and also suspension set up but WOW did they change both that love the look and suspension and ground clearnace sounds great i hope one of my buddies buys this so i can try it out. (i got a yami grizz 700 love it and wont change it for anything!!!)

  • Man it doesnt even sound like a polaris twin.

  • sorry but look again...

  • it doesnt look like it at all. the only resemlence is the motor running with the machine and the exhaust set up

  • yea they changed that retard it says it right in the video

  • how much faster is the 850 than the 800 h.o. last year? and does it burn more gas

  • He never crossed the river at the end lol

  • Exelente, es el mejor atv del mundo,no hay duda sobre eso,no existe comparacion alguna con otro atv,en tecnologia, mecanica y manejo.

    Desde Cordoba argentina. gaston4x4

  • Looks to be very good..........if the reliability holds up and its not trouble prone....1st year machine.
