This anime aired in 2007 so it's not even close to being nostalgic. It annoys me when people think this is a real review. I think people are missing the point of the show. Most people always want to expect EVERYTHING to have a plot when the whole show is just about slice of life with moe characters. The reason shows like this gets criticized heavily is because people don't do their fucking research before watching something, this case goes especially when you don't like a specific genre. It was pretty boring. There is an assumption that adding references to a show automatically makes it funny. It doesn't. Lucky Star is compared to Seinfeld in that "nothing happens." However, Seinfeld actually put effort into its jokes, while Lucky Star just has the characters hold conversations. They're not funny conversations, they're just conversations. The only part I did find funny was the insane clerk who sells anime goods. I don't hate the show or its fans, but I don't like it either

Granted people have their opinion, but why do humans get so worked up about everything? Honestly, I thought the series was kind of boring and didn't bother to think too much about it. Don't flame me.

It was pretty boring. There is an assumption that adding references to a show automatically makes it funny. It doesn't. Lucky Star is compared to Seinfeld in that "nothing happens." However, Seinfeld actually put effort into its jokes, while Lucky Star just has the characters hold conversations. They're not funny conversations, they're just conversations. The only part I did find funny was the insane clerk who sells anime goods. I don't hate the show or its fans, but I don't like it either
