To all of you complaining that this song has nothing to do with its title, I think the irony she was going for was more of a "Murphy's Law" kind of thing, meaning if something can go wrong, it will. It may not be what "the Oxford English Dictionary" says, but it doesn't mean that she's wrong for talking about the irony of rain on your wedding day or being in a traffic jam when you're already late. Irony is when somebody does something but ends up achieving the exact opposite of what they tried to do and usually exposing human weaknesses in the process. So in this song, Morissette intended the lyrics to be ironic but failed to provide any really ironic lyrics, so the song is ironic in being called Ironic. (unless she called it Ironic to provide amusement, in which case kudos to her.)
