  • Yeah what happend to his voice???

Still a great song. Even live it sounds great.

  • @Zorbacop Never mind the voice what happened to the analogue synths???

  • @newworldodour I don't know, but the sound is still great.

The music still sounds the same

  • Wow, his voice is gone.... still a great song by a great band though.

  • Fun. But no Red Frame White Light.

  • me gusta

  • My favourite song by few decades! Including lyrics, beat, sound and...OMD

  • for everyone that don't know what enola gay is xD.. it is the name of the plane that threw the nuclear bomb in hiroshima.

  • This Saturday they play along with The Strokes, The Rapture, Portishead, Moby, The Editors and other 20 bands in Mexico City... BEAT THAT!! jajaja

  • @juanm35mm Genius. Everybody went nuts with this song in Mexico City, and it was the first. I felt I was back in the 80s (although I don't really remember that much from the 80's).

I think OMD was blown away by the mexican audience.

  • Thumbs up if RPS brought you here!

  • super hit too, i give you , 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 stars

  • cant you people just listen to a beautiful song.....who gives a fuck about your politics

  • OMG, it's OMD

  • stupid american + tactical nuke = many innocent dead

  • Awesome song and with meaning! Our history teacher told us about this one the year before and she brought her laptop so we could hear it! Awesome!:)

  • to @pvppet2008 - Who cares of Justin Bieber i bet you are still a spermcell when OMD is there height of stardome .

  • AWESOME!

  • It was 66 years ago today that Enola Gay dropped that Little Boy over Hiroshima by the only country in the world that actually uses WMD...

  • אני אוכל חרא שלי

  • 11 Justin Bieber fans don't like OMD...

  • @pvpet2008 and they become more and more !

  • @pvpet2008 I prefer sayin, 17 people (18 including me) prefer real music... have a look at pink floyd, zeppelin or the who ;)

  • @p0w3l169 Man, just for the record: I'm a big Led Zeppelin and The Who fan. I was lucky to watch Roger Waters and The Who live in concert in Madrid a few years ago. I don't know what does it have to do with Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, one of the greatest electro-pop bands in the world. Enola Gay is probably one of the most beautiful songs ever written, both a real anti-war hymn and a precious love song. Man, I'm on my thirties, you are not going to show me any band. Don't make me laugh.

  • @pvpet2008 coldplay's "Yellow" is much more beautiful than this...

  • @p0w3l169 Oh, my goodness. You come here to say bullshit about The Who, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd as if you were some kind of real expert and now you're recommending Coldplay? I mean, COLDPLAY? Jesus Christ, man. Tell me: who's the one needing to listen to real music?

  • @pvpet2008 DUDE...YOU LIKE THIS! you can't speak to me about music man... Coldplay is 1000 times better than this, that's how good this "music" is...¬¬

  • @p0w3l169 Man, I'm not going to continue arguing with you about this. OMD were a legend before any member of Coldplay was born, but that's not the matter. I don't have anything against Coldplay. The matter is that you came here to teach me about music that I've been listening for years and insulting OMD, leaders of the synthpop movement along with Depeche Mode, Gary Numan or the Yellow Magic Orchestra among others. Stop making a fool out of yourself if you don't know what you are talking about.

  • incredible, this artists are the best!!!the your concert is fantastic!!!

  • se de tutto de piu

  • enola gay....wasnt it the name of a WWII bomber?? im not sure but i guess enola gay did more damage than all other gays combined today lol

  • @poralentierno Enola gay was the name of the B-29 superfortress that dropped the first atomic bomb used in combat on the japanese city of Hiroshima. The aircraft was named after the pilot's mother. The actions of Col. Tibbits (The Pilot) and the Enola gay combined with the B-29 Bockscar that dropped the second bomb on Nagasaki helped to bring the war with japan to a quick end and prevented the loss of many allied personnel that would have been lost if an all out ground attack would have occurred

  • @trekkieguy34 thanks 4 the info, ur comment made me come back to this video....ive been listening to it for the last 40 minutes

  • @trekkieguy34 are you in any away saying that it was correct?????? if you are you are such a fucking ass hole.

  • @symba That is exactly what I am saying. War is a terrible thing and makes you do terrible things to prevent loss of your own people. The empire of japan attacked us at pear Harbor. Starting WWII and we ended it. Had we not used the atomic bombs the Japanese would not have surrendered forcing us into an all out ground attack. The forecasted casualties for such an attack would have greatly outnumbered the casualties at Nagasaki and Hiroshima combined.

  • @trekkieguy34 America and the UK did everything possible to draw Japan into war with them, they cut off access to fuel and numerous other sanctions and pearl harbour could have been avoided as the USA had 3 days prior warning of the attack by breaking the Japs codes, the USA let Pearl Harbour happen so the American public/sheep/plebs would support the war and it was an unnecessary loss, it's all been declassified now which is sickening... just like 9/11, sick sick sick Americans !!

  • @newworldodour I find the stipidity in your comment so appauling that I am not even going to attempt to argue with you because you simply "Cant't fix stupid"

  • @trekkieguy34 said the brain-damaged/washed sheep

  • @newworldodour said the guy on youtube...

  • @trekkieguy34 former United States Navy Rear Admiral Robert A. Theobald,[4] have argued that various parties high in the U.S. and British governments knew of the attack in advance and may even have let it happen or encouraged it in order to force America into war via the "back door."[5][6] Evidence supporting this view is taken from quotations and source documents from the time[7] and the release of newer materials.Source Wikipedia, one of many, indeed stupid you are

  • @newworldodour A Plane changed your mind? How dare you recite a passage, what branch of the mil are you?

  • @symba Right or wrong, I would greatly prefer loss of enemy life,to the loss of allied forces.

  • @NickellNo1 Then why no outrage when America finally declassified it's war documents saying they had broken the Japanese codes 3 days prior and were well aware of the impending attack but sat their and did nothing & didn't even inform any of the many American lives that were lost on the day of Pearl Harbour when they could have done but the US gov let it happen to gain popular support for the war & ultimately complete the task of handing Palestine to the Jews as decided in 1918? SICK

  • @symba yes of course twas correct...i slap u and you shoot me in the head- how the hell is not that supposed to be darn right? LOL

  • This song is anti-war and anti-nuclear in context.

  • @ralutjohn What!?!?!? Preposterous! This song is clearly about praising nuclear weapons for shortening WW 2 by not requiring a bloody invasion of the Japanese mainland!

    ;)

  • @meanmanturbo was at school when this came out in 81 it went no 1 in several European Countries&met Andy in 82 after a gig.most know that its the B29 named after Col Tibbets mother but the song questions the morality of dropping the bomb(s) vs the necessary evil of having to take such a horrible action to bring the war to a rapid end in days without the losses from invading mainland Japan. Result is a pure piece of music mastery that still makes my hair stands on its end when the song intros..

  • is it just me or are they unable to keep a certain tempo?

    (sorry for bad english)

  • @wooki321 it's just you ;)

  • @panoptikonstriton

I well understand what the Enola Gay is, who it was named for, who flew it, what the mission was and much more. What I don't understand is what the song is all about.

  • The kiss that don't go away is how many innocent people die of aids because of WHO?

  • Saw them at Terminal 5 @ NYC. What a great performance.

  • @ aqx770 Enola Gay was the name of the plane that dropped the first atomic bomb on Japan in 1945

  • I think the message is:" 08:15 and all OK" and I think "the kiss you gave" was the little atom bomb that fell on Hiroshima. No one feels really at ease after those two bangs!

  • Trying to figure out what the message is???

  • Fan...tastic.

  • I like OMD so much! ... question for EagleRock: why Dreaming song is not included in this nor other last live DVD? , i'm still waiting for a good live compilation to buy it but only when Dreaming , my favourite song is being included, please move you ASAP!
