Keep in mind this is in the UK where people don't get sued for stuff like this. In America the system is so corrupt that the thief would probably get off and receive compensation for a stunt like this, the main problem being the exhibition and humiliation. Keep in mind that i don't disagree with what was done, rather I find it awesome and just.

@STFUC Are you serious?! He would sue everybody! One man who forced a robber from his store and frog marched him to the police station got a criminal record because it was technically kidnap, as the thief didn't want to go.

@jesoby It's called citizens arrest. If you could trap the guy who is attempting to rob your stufff and take him to the precinct safely, it is well accepted.
