The total debt that George W accumulated in eight years of office is $4.9 Trillion The debt right now is $13.736 Trillion. In approximately 666 days in office, he has accumulated $3.066 Trillion. Using simple algebra you'll find by Dec 2011, Obama will have accumulated more debt in three years than George W. did in 8 years.

The reason Obama is doing the preemptive blame game, is because he knows that his policies wont work and haven't so far. That way ,when the next election comes, he can say, "Dont blame me, I inherited this mess." When he ran for president, he knew what challenges would be facing him, yet he ran anyway, and won.
