  • my bad! 2:04 my favoriteee <3

  • 2:06 :)

  • The cops look to be about 20 yrs old, which means a 99% chance they were BEATLES FANS, but were just doing their jobs. WHAT A SHIT JOB!

  • Wow, before computers, the songs on CDs and the songs live sound EXACTLY the same. Now that's talent!

  • Gotta have them soap green pants George ........

  • My dad was there when this was made. I showed it to him and he asked if i could hook him up with some pot. lol. told him he couldnt handle the shit we smoke nowadays.

  • Miserably bloody cops

  • I can listen to this all day!...

  • In my opinion one of their best "roof top songs" I was 12 yrs. old when they played this. There were no computers back then. amazing how much nostalgic stuff I'm finding on here. I appreciate them even more now. Thanks for all you gave us. R.I.P. John & George.

  • this video is damn near a spiritual document for me.

  • I am 18 months old and I have been listening to the Beatles for over 5 years.

Most music other 18 month old babies listen to is rubbish, no talent.

  • I, roll a stoney.

  • john es un papi ricky!

  • "im 14 and my generations music sux! beatles 4life lolololol"

    god. dammit.

there is good music in our generation, you just have to find it

  • @FakeFlourescentSkies And it's pretty hard to find.

  • @lololololololmasta im 16, my mates think its strange and tbh i think there strange for listening to lady gaga who is terrible

  • @lololololololmasta im 16, my mates think its strange and tbh i think there strange for listening to lady gaga who is terrible

  • 4 people disliked the song.

  • @melisha0303 lol I was trying to point out the shimmy thing that John does, which I thought was cool. But I think I got thumbed up for the word penetrate instead. Either way, the thumbs up are appreciated :)

  • god damn Johns good

  • 4 people are cops

  • the cops just wanted to be VIP.. they were fans too ;D

  • 2:06 is just my favorite

  • Comment removed

  • 4 people need shooting

  • @VonnegutFrusciante at first i thought you meant the Beatles..then i realised that there were 4 dislikes, and now i completely agree.

  • Really like how in this version they start with "Allll I want is" and then jump into the song

  • i wish i could see the color of their music.....i bet its beautiful...

  • You gotta love that Lennon has a human music stand to hold the lyrics.

  • @agiantman lol

  • I often enjoy radiating everything I am

  • Oh!

  • 4 people Dig a Donkey.

  • "All I want is you", it's so simple yet so powerful. I've noticed the Beatles didn't use adjectives very often, they just kept it simple and made each message amazing

  • 1960-1970 was the best decade in the history of the universe

  • Dig a pony on the roof , that kinda made me lol

  • @UberPastaZombie yeah thats right :) haha jm but aren't the Beatles so awesome...c mon honestly Johns hair is blowing in the wind as he's belting out a solo thats just amazIng

  • @IdigAponyONtheROOF hell yeah john was a total badass :D

  • the beatles forever and forever

  • Así pasen 50, 70 o 100 años, ni la policía ni nadie nos podrá borrar de la memoria a estos grandes con su talento y genio heredado a las generaciones pasadas, presentes y futuras.

  • chills man fucking chills

  • Holy shit, when concerts actually sounded like the final product!

  • 4 people don't dig ponies.

  • @pinkertonishappy 4 people don't dig the greatest songwriting team/greatest band, who sold more records than any other artists, of all time :-)

  • Nice footage. I've never seen this before. This is one great tune!! RIP John & George.

  • @Mr427cammer lol, have you been living under a rock then? hahah

  • @calirep1990 I do and I have not seen him there (joke)no but really ? :)

  • George;s green pants are cool, just like he was.

  • 0:44

  • @BobbyMcBob23 lol inappropriate:)

  • @BobbyMcBob23 George's squat?

  • 2:00 dooooooo becauseeee uuu auuuuu <3 :)

  • Im 13 and I grew up listening to the beatles, and I'm proud to say that I grew up listening to REAL music with meaning, all my friends think I m kinda strange for listening to music older than my parents, but to be honest almost all the famous people now are meaningless and not talented

  • @MsJustMe100 I respect u. I'm in the exact same position

  • @MsJustMe100 I know how you feel

  • @MsJustMe100 Music is no different today than it has been for the past century. There's always genre shift over time, and posting about how this is more "real" than modern music is pretentious. Claiming that a song that was written lacking any meaning (as stated by the writer himself) has meaning is even more so.

  • @MsJustMe100 same here man except im 16 i dont know what i woul do without the beatles :)

  • @MsJustMe100 Oh, so you get to decide who is meaningful? Wow, I had no idea you were so important.

  • @MsJustMe100 SAME!!!! like exactly

  • @MsJustMe100

i'm the same way lol i just turned 14 and the beatles are my life! my friends used 2 think i was weird! but now a lot of them like the beatles

  • @MsJustMe100 im 13 and i LOVE the beatles too. people at school make fun of me just because i like real music....but no one will ever make me change my mind about the beatles :)

  • @MsJustMe100 Thank you. Just thank you.

  • @MsJustMe100: Sorry dude, but at 13 you have not "grown up" yet.

  • @MsJustMe100 you rock, kid.

  • @MsJustMe100 totally agree with u <3 im the same way

  • @MsJustMe100 no one cares your 13 and listen to good music...you're not doing anything extraordinary.

  • @msanm5 I Bet you like modern music don't you? He's one of the persons saving our culture.. I'm 13 too, and we are doing something extraordinary, we're saving good music, because Beatles Will Never Die.

  • Look at them play and tell me there wasn't more to come if they'd got along better.

  • 4 people could not pick a moon dog.

  • THE BEATLES/Dig A pony

    イイなァ…。こういう、間があって、しかも、力強いロックは…。

  • i totally love this song!!! \m/

  • Who would open the door if the cops came. I would of locked the doors and acted like nobody was there.

  • I'm 14 & in my opinion The Beatles are the best band out there. Their music is REAL.

  • the reason the guy is holding a clipboard in front of them is, he is relaying messages to them, telling them what the cops are threating to do if they dont stop playing . I seen this in the beatles movie . paul and john basically said fuck off to the cops come arrest us ,,,lol we aint stopping!

  • the reason the guy is holding a clipboard in front of them is, he is relaying messages to them, telling them what the cops are threating to do if they dont stop playing . • 0:45 :)

  • The random guy holding the clip board in front of Lennon probably went home to his friends and family and bragged for days about how he helped them perform! Such a small task and four minutes of tape is all it took to immortalize one random guy!

  • Thanks, i actually have never seen this video before or heard the original version so I am happy my band does such a good job covering this great tune.

  • I like the guy that kneels in front of John. Powerful image ;)

  • @zelimirperis thats their assistant mal :)

  • @RAPisntMUSIC111 It's not Mal; Mal wears glasses -- you can see him at 3:50.

The guy with the clipboard is probably holding up the lyrics for John, who tended to forget them or mix them up (even with his own songs).

  • I like the guy that kneels in front of John. Powerful image ;)

  • The Beatles-legends, icons....just look at em , their so fucking awesome! god bless'em..they truly are the best band ever.

  • I think the cops just wanted a better view...

  • I think it's so funny someone called the cops. Not that it's so unbelievable.. people are assholes lol.. but imagine that phone 911 call...Dispatcher: What is your emergency? Caller: The Beatles are playing a free concert in the middle of the afternoon on the roof of the Apple building. Dispatcher: Wow that's cool! Did someone get injured there? HAHA Like seriously, who files a NOISE complaint for a free Beatles concert? Buzz Killington? Their art is the farthest thing EVER from "noise."

  • I love this song!

    R.I.P. John Lennon

    R.I.P. George Harrison

  • I told you so all I want is you.

  • I told you so.

  • i believe that somebody hit a wrong not at 0:11 ...still a friggen masterpiece

  • @bob101125 I think it was just sharp (over-stretched string) for a moment. It bends back to the right note a moment later. But yes, one "bum" note. :)

  • One of the greatest love songs of all time in my opinion, though Lennon didn't rate it... chorus "All i want is you, and everything has got to be the way you want it to" matched by versus "do your own thing, and I love you".... I think it's truly beautiful

  • This is a great tune. I recently read a guide to each and every Beatles's song and the author quoted Lennon belittling the song, and some make a lot out of it. By the time Lennon did that remark, his mindset had changed, he had already moved on and was much more interested in building his solo career.

And he was always very sarcastic, so you never know whether he was trashing the song for real or just poking some fun at whoever was asking.

    Great tune, anyway.

  • i had no idea that George sang the intro 0:11 - 0:15

  • LOL is that guy on the floor holding up the lyrics for Lennon?

  • @yammerz yes it is, i dont blame them though because like he said before, he had to write songs really fastest so he does really remember i guess, or maybe Paul wrote the song and he didnt have time to memerize it

  • @yammerz It might be sheet music. who knows?

  • hey did you guys see the lighting at 3.30...

  • @Beatlesforever97 lol. I do believe that was just film grain. If not, then that is the most awkwardly shaped lightning bolt ever.

  • @Beatlesforever97 lol. I do believe that was just film grain. If not, then that is the most awkwardly shaped lightning bolt ever.

  • You know, I just got the Let It Be album, and I didn't even realize that this song was live. It sounds so clear and tight, these guys were amazing.

  • i hope justin bieber likes the beatles if not i shoot him in the balls

  • @cesarmanuel51 If so, I hope he doesn't!

  • @cesarmanuel51 He doesn't have balls. Shoot him in the pussy.

  • 4 ignorant of beautiful music

  • dont let me down and dig a pony are the best songs ever

  • I <3 THIS SONG!

  • 2:07

    LOL

  • Ya see kids, music is dead.Today's music isn't music at all, it's just noise. All of it. If someone walked up to Justin Beiber and said "you're better than the Beatles!" and Justin didn't hit that person in the face than someone ought to take a sledge hammer to his nuts (if he has any) because his "music" is TV static noise compared to the Beatles.

  • This is how a Live performence sounds like kids,

    Todays music is terrible live.

  • I wish i was old enough, lucky enough, and english enough to be in THERE.

  • genuis busted by bobbies... Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...

  • in mark chapman gun it would be bullets and in john lennon gun its peace&respect plus love :)

  • No two singers in music history could harmonize like John and Paul. Not even Simon and Garfunkle, Beach Boys, Monkees, Everly Brothers....none of them. John and Paul's vastly different voices compliment each others so well.

  • "All I Want Is You" - did that inspired Joe Cocker to remake "With a Little Help From My Friends" using those chord progressions?

  • @solesirching73

I don't think so, although it was recorded in January, 1969, the album "Let it be" was released only in May, 1970, and Joe Cocker already performed "With a little help from my friends" at Woodstock festival in the summer of 1969

  • @solesirching73 i know were you're coming from...his cover of a little help reminds me of this song!

  • @solesirching73 G D A is a pretty popular progression in music like this with cranked amps

  • @solesirching73 I thought this too..

  • @solesirching73 Ohh I thought the chorus of this song was similar to that song from Joe Cocker.

  • @solesirching73

the red hot chili peppers played a show, also on a roof (in hamburg),and they have a song thats called "i could die for you" and these are the same chord progression like the intro(the first 12 sec.) of this beatles song.im sure you will find the show here on YT, its worth watching it!

  • 30 years ago today we lost a musical treasure in John Lennon. Thanks John for giving us so much.

  • RIP in peace John. You apart of my life, you'll never be forgotten.

  • @melg0510 RIP= rest in peace

You just wrote: Rest in peace in peace John :P

  • 2:28 Snotty little jumped-up jobsworth.

  • Why don't we have music like that anymore? I guess I'm getting old.

  • @toalduf youre not alone, tons of young people (including me) like the Beatles, I think most of today's music is gay :)

  • love how they bash the stones in every verse! yes atleast they realized the stones tried to be the Beatles! ahahah soo good :D

and just for anyone who want to go against what i said,

i know the chorus is for Yoko Ono, but indeed the verses are directed to the rolling stones.

"I roll a stoney.Well you can imitate everyone you know"

  • i dig

  • wow Paul is a bit HOT here...:P

  • @kunakata Isn't he everywhere?

  • @ThatRandomBeatle yes he is you're right :)))

  • OH CRAP, IT'S DA BRITISH POLEACE! lol

  • poor lennon

  • 0:36 - 0:42

I LOVE how they just look at each other and just know that they nailed that harmony..

    Best band ever..

  • a fine farewell to the fab 4-

  • I don't know why to change the original sound of the show and put the album audio!!!what idiot!!!! the original john s voice is in another tune

  • I don't know why to change the original sound of the show and put the album audio!!!what idiot!!!!

  • those were the days good ol' John Lennon

  • A MASTERPIECE.

  • Back then those boys grew up playing music and doing active things. Learning to be productive. Now a days kids grow up on tv and video games. Thats a big reason music isn't like this anymore.

  • @jneil2007 True, But it's the parents to blame to, Who grew up in those days, playing with music, They buy the video games and let them watch so much tv :D

And music chances a lot, I play video games, and I play the drums, and i love the beatles, I grew up with both sort of haha, But yeah, I understand what you mean

  • My current favorite!

  • One of their best kept secret classics. ROCK ON!

  • best beatles song?

  • Por eso son fueron y seran los mejores

  • After them nothing

  • why are their hats so big

  • 0:13 paul is wrong xD

  • @axelcaguaman

    He did that on purpose..

  • this is such a wonderful song

  • children this is without auto-tune, pre-recorded tracks and whatever the heck else they do nowadays- this is raw, real, and amazingly sick.

  • @yellow85 You know, there are many adults who like that modern music you described, and there are many children and teens(like myself) that love this music. I find it somewhat offensive that you wrote "children" in the beginning, like all the children these days are listening to the crappy music people do today, and all the adults are good people that listen to the beatles and other 70s bands 24/7.

  • @yellow85 I agree but stop patronising as if you knew

  • @yellow85 you could not have said it much betterr......its sad....such amazing music,,,

  • @yellow85 and it sounds amazing...

  • 0:17 Paul lol

  • Okay, so what is it with those chin straps on the bobby helmets? Poor fits? Or odd custom?

  • This song is so badass! I play and sing it everyday! Too bad this song is underrated

  • da best

  • tha best

  • That one officer has an "Oh shit" look on his face. "Oh shit. I have to tell The Beatles to stop playing."

  • Love this song...

  • great song

  • also George at :47

  • awsome song

  • dedicate this song to u a special girl and let the magic happen ;)

  • this gives me shivers watching

  • love it love it love it...I want to build a time machine!

  • I'm disappointed that it isn't the actual audio from the concert. Just the track r
