Thanks very much for sharing such great insight on beekeeping. I notice you mentioned that it will take a while for that honey to drain out. I saw another video where a straw was inserted between jars to place air behind the honey, allowing the process to complete much faster. Just an FYI, in case you didn't know it. ;)
I'm going to be using a TB hive for the first time this year and I really like your videos...I have never seen honey havested this way and was wondering...do you freeze all your honey before you crush it?...or is the honey in the freezer being used for something entirely different?...
Hi there Mike, We just watched all your videos, it's great to see your passion for what your doing. After over 20 years I'm still passionate about bees & still learning. I had a little giggle when you said you were starting to wear protection. That's exactly how I started. We have photos of me & the kids working a hive without protection. That soon stopped. It's a great hobby, I hope you keep it up. take care. cheers from Jeff, downunder.

How long does it take for the honey to drain / strain through? A few days or more? Thanks

@kevinkolowich I freeze the comb first to kill any wax moth eggs that may or may not be there.
