  • Pure Americana, long live the great red, white & blue !! Forever grateful for this awesome country and Seger's unparralled genius !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • beautiful...simply amazing

  • @Prowler609 Your comment is filled with "Malaise" the same term for fear and self loathing that the media attached to the attitude of Pres. Jimmy Carter. Take a cue from Pres. Regan and have some godamn faith in America. We are not ruined or finished or whatever pussy-ass weak willed term you want to use. Buck up, grow a pair, remember the tough times your ancestors went through and stop whining.

  • Damn the weekends and Youtube!! I sit and listen to and reminisce with these old songs that are from the earliest years of my adulthood and realize,, I’ll never be 22 again, it will never be 1982 again and MTV will never be a Music Video Station again ,, I also realize America will never be the great nation it was then…. I want My MTV and a President like Reagan!!!

  • @Prowler609 What you say is the truth. I can blow away a weekend watching the old vids. My early adulthood was in the early 70's and know just what you mean.

  • This song touches my soul,It's simply the truth,I have a lot of male pride, and this song help's me explain in a strange way how I feel inside.Thank you KOUJI328 for posting this. And Thank you Bob Seger.

  • Only Billie Jean kept this out of the #1 spot. A video probably would have pushed it to the top. They were very influential at the time.

  • this song puzzled me until my old grandaddy in Texas explianed it to me. He said the human race is descented from big apes who all look alike. The apes picked their mates by the way they smelled. Humans evolved into different shapes and sdikzes so its much harder for ujs to get along.

  • Bob Seger

  • This is one of the iconic male anthems. It describes perfectly the way the typical guy feels/operates: keep your emotions to yourself; women are hopelessly confusing and contradictory; Murphy's law is lurking around every curve just waiting for the slightest misstep. This is one of those perfect songs for when I'm in a grim mood; it reinforces perfectly how I feel.

  • @1940LaSalle nice!

  • @1940LaSalle I could'nt have said it better.

  • @1940LaSalle Yup. This speaks to the masculine inability to express our emotions. Just blame it on midnite...

  • Nice!!....*****

  • Absolutely love this song.... Brings back the best memories of my life.

  • The best way I can describe this song is "Hauntingly Beautiful.

  • This song is on the top 10 list of favorites and brings back many childhood memories. I grew up on this song along with most of Alabama's music. My parents were recently divorced and my mother's friends listened to this music and then my mother was hooked and that is how I became hooked. I also fondly remember this music as one of my mothers friends-who was HOT- also was my babysitter and she would always crank this music up on the radio as she babysat me. Those were the carefree days!
