Also, I just did my own research on the question I was so rudely given by that MOD. The MOD was 100% wrong. These Eagles may have a wonderfully successful outcome for all their previous Eaglets, but it is unfortunately very very common for Bald Eagle chicks to kill their younger and weaker syblings. This discussion in no way shape or form should have been grounds for the MOD to boot me from the chat room. The MOD's need to have MOD's! This is for all of us to enjoy. DON'T CENSOR NATURE!
Hey guys, please pass the word up the chain. The UStream feed is just fabulous. Awesome! However there is at least one MOD there that is out of control. I am a huge nature fan and advocate for these Eagles. Nature is not always cute and cuddly, but can be shocking and cruel to the human eye. I was booted from the chat for asking about eaglet infantcide after watching the older Eaglet attacking his younger syblings. The MOD answered NO WAY, THE PARENTS PROTECT. Do not censor unfuzzy questions!
@herbiesnerd I have been watching many nests on-line for 6 years and and learning about Eagles. I have seen many eaglets raised and only once has there been any suspicion of an eaglet being killed by siblings.. I know it happens but it isn't a common occurrence.
