I know of a easy way to kill demise, when he goes to hit you with his fist or shield shield bash and take ONE swing at him and repeat until lightning faze, then do the same but make sure to stay really close and always have your sword up and he should die

also, none of the past zelda games required you to learn to use the shield properly to beat them. they focused a lot more in dodging and i went that route since i went for strats that dodged the boss' attacks. also, i could have made a better battle if i bothered to replay the battle more times (this was my first ever completion)
