I understand what it's like to have a feral sit in your lap and go into labor. That's how we got betty boots, our cat. Her mother must have been an abandoned housecat because i'd never seen her before when she padded up to me and begged to be held and petted. She gave birth there with me watching and died during the process. I gave two kittens to my friends and I took one. DAd named her Betty Boots cause of her white paws and the face that her baby mewls sounded like Betty Boop.

@shinyapples67 How can I not be kind to them? Rescueing animals is in my wireing. I can't stop it. We rescued seven other kittens too. along with those 7, we found 5 dead ginger kittens and a nearly dead calico female. She wouldn't let us touch her, though, so there was nothing we could do. I found her dead the next day, poor thing.

Presumably it's one of the tomcats that get into a fight for Bootsy's favours that one sees at 3:34, where she - after delivering kitten #3 - charges into the melée, separates the toms and then drives each of them away from the scene before returning to her birthing place and delivers her remaining two kittens, correct?

For a moment, I thought this kitten was still born. When a mother cat cleans

up a newborn, it gets their circulation going, apart from getting blood or amniotic

fluid off them. Bootsy pays a lot of attention to this second kitten. Giving birth can be a day's work for a cat.

Wow! We've been working with a feral cat too she was pregnant and so we brought her inside for the winter and shes had her kittens in our home. The kittens are soooooo cute!!!
