Budd is not "putting on weight." When this was filmed a few years ago, his lymphoma was pretty severe and the swelling in his neck very noticeable. Following the chemo in 2008, it's reduced right down.

McNally is such a jerk: a prime example of what Budd has recently referred to as "the hydra-headed debunking machine and its many busy attendants."

I believe this man's rendition of his experience; when you go through this, you recognize when another experiencer is telling the truth. You just can't "fake" something like this, and only one who has not gone through this horrific nightmare can enjoy the luxury of laughing about it, or to simply "dismiss it" as "impossible."

There is nothing smug about Budd Hopkins. He is not destroying anyone's lives by giving a voice to people who are dismissed out of hand for relating their experiences. People who use skepticism like a weapon, dismissing such claims more often than not without any investigation whatsoever, because what is being said goes against their particular personal beliefs are the ones who are destroying peoples lives and doing the most harm.

@Theiasember Good for you for saying so!! Yes, he is truly a good man, and he has done so much in educating the world, and especially in helping so many sufferers of this truly scary and often isolating phenomena!! I have yet to meet anyone more "real" or more honest and kind!!

There are so many who suffer in frightened silence, especially those in religions where this experience is classified as "Demonic."

i had a simimilar experience wen i was 7yrs old and i was sleeping next to my yonger brother ,i wanted to move talk but could not ,do anything, they came many times but i seem to remember being calmed by then ahead of time if that makes sense at all, but it was terifying to me , i v grown uot of this but for almost 40 some years i always add a feeling that i was being observed,,, very deranging life i v had that all i have to say.

@hurricane0079 One does not "get out a yardstick" to measure an alien's height when they are in the midst of a frightening & mind-blowing experience, but later, that one can estimate the alien's height by measuring something else that it was near, such as equaling it as "about the height of my bedroom door knob." Being smug does not make you sound knowledgeable, nor intelligent.

You know, I'm not SURE on the subject one way or another, but I sure as hell HATE it when you get that smug, condescending 'expert' debunking everything like we're all just silly children. (near the end) How about you stop treating us like we're BAD for considering all possibilities? This kind of 'it isn't SO' thinking put Galileo under house arrest for suggesting the possibility that the earth was round.

I agree with you, ShadesofScorpius. Budd Hopkins is one of those smug know-it-all "experts" that doesn't even have any proper training (he's an artist, nothing more), and yet he thinks that he can treat everyone like children and continue with the alien abduction myth. Hopkins is really destroying these peoples' lives; it would be nice if someone could stop him before he does any more harm.
