What kinda skids you got? I ended up going with AP on my grizz, but I like water wheelie-ing so much I almost bought these plastic solid one piece skids from Europe. They're supposed to be just as strong as aluminum but offer better sliding ability and they are one piece and perfectly flat on the bottom. I think they'd make it wheelie even better, but they're 650 bucks!

well his intake comes up as high as his front rack on the newer modeled grizzlys.. and the water is actually difficult to get in the intake as long as it for a quick moment, the way theyre designed the newer bikes its difficult for the water to get into the intake.. but if it sits under water for a couple of secs then water will get there eventally.. very good bikes too.. i think theyre the best all around though they do have some weaknesses.. mines all stock and ive been through water deeper..

by that logic the rear tires would be trying to float forcing the front end down into the water making it even more difficult to wheelie. flotation and center of gravity have very little to do with any of this, it is mostly fluid dynamics, the water pushing on the skidplate is keeping the front end up much like the way a boat plows water before planing out. I agree it's nothing special but it is a helluva lotta fun
