"Kill Em All" is much, much better. I have the "Bay Area Thrashers" vinyl record that my friend found for me when he was in Germany, and I was beyond happy when I got it. Dave Mustaine was just so incredible on guitar. I know we got a lot of amazing music from Megadeth that wouldn't have existed if Dave hadn't been booted from the band, but sometimes I wish he'd always been the lead guitarist for Metallica - the songs they would have written together would probably be even more amazing than Metallica and Megadeth's separate works.
i like all of metallicas albums up to and justice for all and after that their just not that good but megadeth on the other hand, if loved all their albums exept risk and the one after that

Metallica and Megadeth are different stylistically, but neither is superior to the other. What music is good or bad is simply a matter of personal preference. Saying that Megadeth is better than Metallica is like saying that Pablo Picasso is better than Vincent van Gogh. "Kill Em All" is much, much better. And if by sort of level you mean complexity (which doesn't mean shit to anyone who to anyone), there are much more complex song by Metallica not only pre-cliff but post-cliff (cliff burton thought the others harmony, song structure and dynamics).

Because Metallica were one of the first proper metal bands, they stood for everything good in metal, but they sold out and fucked it up royally, Megadeth didn't, and for that, I respect Mustaine, but not Kirk, plus the fact that Kirk actually changed the solo to a slower, more shitty one is even worse.

I have the "Bay Area Thrashers" vinyl record that my friend found for me when he was in Germany, and I was beyond happy when I got it. Dave Mustaine was just so incredible on guitar. I know we got a lot of amazing music from Megadeth that wouldn't have existed if Dave hadn't been booted from the band, but sometimes I wish he'd always been the lead guitarist for Metallica - the songs they would have written together would probably be even more amazing than Metallica and Megadeth's separate works.
