Gatling Lance. Fire based. It's not particularly strong, but its more than good enough to handle offline based monsters. Made from online based material if im not mistaken.

@youlook678 keep killing it until you get it, its very rare. I got mine after like 40 kills, and when you carve at the end, carve around the tail area because its rumored that you get a better chance of getting it there ...for some reason... and just to confirm thats where i got it from. NOT the tail part that you can chop off but the fat tail part on the monobolos when he dies. good luck

Thanks, I really appreciate the compliment :-). To make Mega Demondrug, you combine demon drug(make by combine catalyst + power seed) with pale extract. catalyst can be made by combining honey + bitterbug. To make ancient potion, combine immunizer with kelbi horn. make immunizer by combining catalyst with dragon toadstool

Gatling Lance, made from the Gunlance prototype lance if im not mistaken. It's probably not as good as crimson war pike but i only used it for the looks i suppose. I would prefer a greatsword, since they are alittle more user friendly and are alittle faster weapon to use when compared to the lance. So i would say that you should use Eager Cleaver, as that weapon probably can get you all the way to end of the game offline.

You know, that is exactly what happened to the Diablos when I was fighting it. A bunch of Apceros interfered and killed it while trying to attack me. That was fun, yet unexpected. On a different note, if you want to know what to do against a monoblos, I recently posted a video.

congrads on the wyvern marrow. they help to make some of the best offline stuff in the game, so from this point forward, it should be alot easier for you :-)

its not actually a gunlance, its the fire type lance that has gunlance in its name. in this monster hunter, they dont have the new weps, like the longsword and gunlance and bow, so its the closest to that.

if im not mistaken, to unlock this gunlance, just have to acquire firestones, and to upgrade it, i think it takes some wyvern marrows and other material, primarily ores and stuff.

yeah unfortunately it is. But honestly, this lance isnt that strong, 345 total atk, and i mainly used it because it was fire based, and according to the armor description monoblos has a -1 to all elemental weps, not sure if it is really weak to fire, but i used it anyhow. so if you are looking for a similar type of lance, i would recommend crimson war pike made from monoblos stuff, and it has 368 atk and fire based.

Orge Tusk definitey. Much stronger and with good sharpness. shouldnt take long with that.

indeed. it can be gotten offline, getting the wing for the helm can be a hassle, but possible. Just do the capture the rathalos quest, may take more than one try but you will get one eventually :-)

Being new I find this to be helpful especially since I am stuck on the 4 star quests of mh2. I would not have thought that a lance could have such a good defense but, it works. Ps where did you get such a kick ass lance?

Thank you for the comment, and i am glad that this can help you in any way shape or form. The Gatling Lance that i used is the upgrade from the Gunlance Prototype. Im not 100percent sure on what is needed to make, but i believe it involves firestones, wyvern marrows, dragonite ores and gunpowder. Shouldnt be to much trouble to get, and even more so too much trouble to use. I hope this helps :-)
