i think its because he was the last person to touch the bubble shield, so when your grenade bounced off the bubble shield, the object was in his possesion (lul sounds weird) thus giving him the kill.

The grenade stuck to you because for some reason they are attracted to a target when it's that close. The grenade nearly hit your foot, right?

Even though it was your own grenade, the red team guy had shot you prior to the stick so they gave the kill to him. The reason it bounced back was as the bubble shield deploys, anything bounces off. Even if it isn't fully out.

lol i was playing and the bubble shield glitched, i ran into it and my guy went under the ground, still can shoot people, only 1 bad thing my head like was 100x the size(i couldnt see)and it was above ground =/ so i died and spawned like that =| =( =( lol it was funny though, even if i had 3 kills and 57 deaths, perfectly o k lol

i don't see anything wrong with the quality, but i think killerjd killed you because the grenade that was thrown at the warthog which affected you did damage to you and if you commit suicide while your shield is still charging then it counts as a kill for the person who chucked that last grenade, thats why it didn't count as a stick for him. Little long but it explains the situation. :)

I can explain this.

As you can see, random grenades were blowing up right behind you. Somehow, someway, you must have been damaged by one of those grenades. Then you threw the plasma, and it bounced off the bubble shield and stuck you and killed you.

as you see i didn't get hurt one bit. In halo when you get hurt, the smallest damage you can take is like 1/10 of your health bar. It would have been noticeable if i got hurt.

you can get much less than that. According to bungie there are 140 hit points, 100 sheild and 40 health. Several times my sheild was so low hat I did not think it should be up at all. the slightest thing would have taken it down.

Ah but u missed something. the guy up top of your base(who was red) threw a grenade at the warthog resulting in mere splash damage. for example if someone jumps and u swing ur hammer(or a grenade explodes) it might not have damaged them but u still get the kill if they fall off. so to say it simply: any splash/explosive damaged that still doesnt hurt u can cont as some1s kill if u commit suicide

Yeah, as crazy as it sounds, that's what the game believed happened. The bubble shield appeared JUST as the grenade hit it, and due to the messy hit box code that Halo 3 has, it hit you even though it doesn't look like it, because your hit box follows behind you.

Lag is definitely a popular culprit for stuff like this. I mean, I've died before without my shield even being damaged (by an assault rifle). Sometimes the game just "forgets" to keep up with the lag.
