They aren't true hibernators. They sleep, but occasionaly they wake up and eat, or find food. There are 3 chipmunks that live at my house (outside) and we feed them corn, they are so fun to watch.

oh this was so funny when he seen the toy i thought hes going to freek. i love the way you did the vid with chip comming in and out of the tube kind of like a fade up close and back in. when he went in the bag i lol. great job.
Actually, he did freak out when he saw that toy. It took 5 minutes for him to finally get near it, and when did, he didn't even eat anything! I had to use fades a lot to show time lapse... otherwise this video would be really long!
