You have to use the binoculars to zoom in and listen to ALL of the conversations. You just missed the boss across the water there. This game has download MODS that are even better than the original

I like Ubisoft and FarCry 3 will be sick, but maybe Crytek should of kept it. I just bought Crysis 1 for the Xbox cos I don't have tons of money for a nice computer but doesn't mean the story changes. It's a badass game. Crysis 2 is sick but would of been cool if it were open world in New York. They may of had to prt that game on the new Xbox in a few years due to the size. I think Xbox should offer video game streaming where you can play games that are massive and hold up to hundreds of player

Far Cry was googd until it came monsters now it is not realisstic "Battlefield bad company2" is much better

If it weren't for the shift back to a standard FPS for the last third of the game, this would have murdered Doom3, Halo and Half Life 2 back in 2004. Saying that, I still rate this game higher than all three of those titles, with Halo coming a close second.

i remember this on my PC, and there wasnt a machine that could run it on full settings.

it was the crysis of 5 years ago (only good).

awesome combat with the mercs, but terrible trigens, beautiful scenery and great open world gameplay.

it looked as good as games could look, everyone (including me) said at the time.

@ahcidkdfj Youre right there. Far cry 2 does suck. Not just next to this, but in general it sucks.

I got this when it was released and it was probably a full year before I had a PC good enough to run it on anywhere near high settings. And I have always had mid-high range gaming PC's, but this really stressed out your PC at the time.

It still looks nice now. Nicer than many games that are not as old, but it does look dated.

I wish I could play it for the first time again (but not the trigens).

@w0bbl3r ha ha, talking about the trigens I was suprised that I didn't freak out when I encountered them. Yes I was startled when it pounced at me when I didn't notice him creeping up behind me but besides that time I think trigens are fascinating creatures.

It was amazing on how they actually use bushes to hide and sneak up to you. I swear the programmers for these incredible AI probably wrote pages and pages of code for them.

@ahcidkdfj Its just a shame most of that vode was wasted by how poor they were to actually fight. All you could do was shotgun the bastards at close range. The big ones were ridiculously hard to kill no matter how much you hit them, and the cloaked ones with guns were just too tough. They would have been good if they had health closer to a human enemy.

But for the very best, tippy top enemy AI, look no further than the original F.E.A.R. on PC. Those guys are CLEVER bastards

I'm just one of those guys that hunt for games with smart AI.

Yeah man, for it's time it was unbelievable. I remember it loading up and seeing the draw distance. My jaw just dropped. Especially when you get to the highest point on this particular map and look down at everything, it's a beauty. Crysis is the new benchmark as this was for it's time.
