Always thought that the Ewing parents were essential to what was great about this show. When he died and Ellie became more and more generic it was never the same. Southfork Forever...
0:02 you will note my brown station wagon in the lower right corner driving on the interstate. That was me driving, I remember them filming that scene from a helicopter, I was like who are these people in the helicopter? And then like a month later, there is my car on the opening theme of DALLAS every night. Does anybody else care?
@FURY1958, I lied. I was 3 years old when this video was taken and living in Baton Rouge. They never did a show about Baton Rouge Billionaires, because we have none living here. However I did ride around in the back seat of a royal blue 1978 Chevrolet Malibu back then.
@krsfromprp Oh yeah but I did that more in the mid 80's, LOL with the old NWA (best wrestling in my opinion) and WWF and Hulk Hogan's Rock and Wrestling.
@silverzhawk I'm from KY, so my wrestling was more of a local thing. "Mid-South." Jerry Lawler, Bill 'Superstar' Dundee, The Fabulous Ones, etc. I don't remember 'Rock and Wrestling'.
@krsfromprp Hulk Hogan's Rock And Wrestling was Hogans attempt to capitalize on wrestling and his stardom in 84 and 85 with his own cartoon on Saturday mornings. I used to spend summers with grandparents in KY and it was a tradition on Saturday and Sunday nights to watch WTBS and wrestling so I am well aware of all the guys you mentioned along with Rock and Roll Express, Midnight Express, 4 Horsemen, Russians, Magnum T.A., Road Warriors,and Dusty Rhodes to name a few.
@silverzhawk "Who remembers as a kid? 1979 to 1981"
I do! I was 10 years old in 1979. And I too watched Hulk and Dukes on Friday nights. And I did watch cartoons on Saturday mornings. I didnt watch Dallas though. I did in 1980 because of the hype surrounding the famous who shot jr episode. But after a few more episodes after that, I stopped watching it because prime time soaps were not my thing at around 10+ years old. Now, Hulk, Dukes, the saturday morning cartoons, etc. Those were my thing.
What the?! For Barbara Bel Geddes' segment, the side images are just random unrelated scenes of a flag and some oil derricks. Every other cast member has three scenes of themselves.
I remember watching some episodes when i was 4 or 5 back then growing up, seeing it on TV. I didn't even like soap operas, but i would watch Dallas. Now THIS is TV, not the crap you see now days, ha ha.
Dallas is in my top 3 all time TV shows ever. The fights in the Ewing family the dirty deals JR did , The fit women the cars it was such a good show. Remember how mad the world went when JR first got shot. Here in the UK they had armed guards guarding the film tapes coming off the plane to be delivered to the TV station that was showing the series. The bets people were making on who shot him were getting out of control. It was great TV and they had the best cast of actors.
I remember reading some of the odds who might have shot JR. There were a few joke ones too such as Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Tom Landry and Quarterback Roger Staubach.
It looks the same as season 1. I'm not sure if the music is different or not though, I don't have that good an ear, it might be slightly more up tempo but I can't be certain.
I class the "Mini series" as season one like it is called on the DVD, so that's where people might get confused. This opening is from Season Two(DVD)and Season One (From TV). I hope you can understand?
It sounds like a 80's porn movie

Strange that they didn't have enough footage of Barbara Bel Geddes to do the three images like did and have always done of the other cast members.
