I'm purely a catch and release fisher... the problem with keeping big ones is you're taking out the best genetics in the ecosystem. Same with trophy hunting. Lame.
its a fly fishermans thing.... givin someone else the chance to catch them. i cant stand goin to a stream and seein people leavin with a bunch of big fish , it makes me not want to fish that stream

Nice video! It would be better if the sound was a bit louder so we could hear what you are explaining. Up in BC, our coastal bull trout also reach that size and are regularly caught on big flies this time of the year. Check out my vids. =)

i think the little ones should be let back so they can spawn... then when they're big and grown, we feast!

A lot of times little fish aren't mature yet so they can't spawn.
