I am not going to bother to vote. There is too much paperwork involved. Besides, I am too busy. If I were to vote, though, I would probably vote for Bill Clinton because the White House needs a bit of sex appeal after the collapse of the US economy. Who better than Bill to bring a flirtatious folly of hotties back to the White House? Bill would turn the White House into the new Playboy Mansion. So, if you are going to bother to vote, Vote for Bill Clinton. Make the White House fun again!
Dean was torpedoed by the media after he said that companies who own Defense Contractors (GE/Raytheon) have no business owning television networks (GE/NBC). Conflict of interest when covering the run-up to war, maybe? Dean would have made a much better candidate in 2004, and he wouldn't have chosen Joe Loserman as a VP. Go Dean! Obama '08!
Howard Dean. I do wish I could of voted for him for President. He is a caring and honest man and it seems this is why he lost the elections. He was just too honest to be a president in this country,,,,
Sarah Palin seems to be the type of person who likes to play by her own rules and change the rules as she goes to fit her needs. I suggest everyone who reads this to seek out Sarah's actions when seeking to fire her ex brother-in-law from the AK state troopers. It seems she or someone from her admin read his confidential records to have him fired.
I see the repubican party to be stuck on a small island of their own reality> They favor large corporate rule over the government and the all mighty tax dollar we give the government is shared to the mighty few corporations so that they can become stronger while the majority of Americans suffer for their gains.
opposition to 2004 republican politics. I truly can't even see a maverick or even a pit-bull with lipstick. "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."
And to slam the media as elitist, community organizing as irresponsible and to misuse "clinging to guns" out of context shows that this republican campaign is using the same ole' divisive playbook from 2004. Nothing during this RNC campaign is in opposition to 2004 republican politics. I truly can't even see a maverick or even a pit-bull with lipstick. "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."
Howard, we loved you in 2004 and were devastated at your loss. We are thrilled with the 50 state strategy - Nice to see you haven't lost your ability to be honest and call bs when you see it.
Honestly, Republicans should not make Palin out to be something she's not. The exaggerations about her foreign policy experience are simply farcical. She has some strong points, it's better to concentrate on that, and introduce her to people. Instead, she's been exaggerated and she, herself, was sarcastic last night. It's good for the GOP base, but that's not the only audience McCain needs to win.
From what I've seen with my own eyes, Brokaw gives Palin an incredibly overblown compliment ("she's a very fomidible opponent"). Anyone can read a speech written by someone who's got the Repub talking points down. It's when she hasn't been rehearsed & coached that she reveals just how much a twit she is.
It's like being in the Twilight Zone listening to those outrageous Repub talking points. Those people who believe them haven't been paying attention or they are, sad to say, ignorant.
Just a few weeks back Republicans didn't think a woman could handle the 3:00 am phone call. NOW they think that a woman could handle it just fine if it turned out that Palin would be running the country. Hypocrisy has NO bounds with the RW Neocon party.
"Howard Dean always makes the case so well, so forcefully and clearly. I'd love to see him run for office again some day."
I think Howard Dean - possibly just because of his party role - sounds a bit too much like a salesperson these days. He tries to run through as many talking points and partisan hits as possible, phrasing them in the most simplistic phrases for the greatest audience.
That might be what wins elections but ideally I would prefer more engaging interviews.

Palin has been put on the national stage about 7 days ago & the media isn't supposed to question her or her husband? Why?

Stock market total returns (S&P500) during eight year Presidential terms
Roosevelt (12.1 years) 336%
Clinton 259%
Eisenhower 216%
Reagan 200%
Truman (7.8 years) 185%
Bush 3%
That is not 3% per year. That is 3% over the entire 7+ years. If you are satisfied with these results, vote Republican.

It doesn't get any more complicated than the Republicans are lying, have nothing positive to say, and are basically running against themselves.
