idle Temperatur der CPU 25°c (nicht übertaktet XD)... Vollast nonich getestet

...ps sehr schöne hilfreiche videos...früher immer viel zu viel wärmepaste draufgetan XDDD

@Trebor112112 bei intel ist das gar kein problem, bei amd gibt es glaub ich eine halterung mit der das geht. gesehen habe ich die aber selbst noch nicht, weshalb ich es dir nicht garantieren kann.

Mein neuer PC sieht so aus:

Coolermaster HAF 932

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T

4 x Corsair 2GB DDR3 Ram

Asus Crosshair IV Formula

Nvidia Geforce GTX 275.

Hab schon lange rumgesucht wegen CPU Kühler aber noch nichts richtiges gefunden. Hatte mir den Corsair A70 bestellt aber der sitzt leider wegen dem Retention Modul nicht richtig und so ein Crossbow kit gibts für den nicht.

Xigmatek Thor's Hammer oder Prolimatech Megahalems jeweils mit Montage Kit für AM3? Oder Doch A70 behalten?

@CUBEy2k9 der gummihammer und das megahelium zeigen auch in in richtung netzteil wenn ich mich recht erinnere. auf Computerbase gibts im luftkühlungsbereich eine Faq in der bei vielen prozessoren steht in welche richtung sie zeigen. wenn der arbeitsspeicher nicht im weg ist, würde ich zum Ninja 3 greifen.

@3fferman ok danke ;) hab mich nur mal erkundigt weil von Prolimatech gibts so ein Retention Kit. Da wird dann ja freigestellt, in welche Richtung man den Megahalems montieren möchte. Hab den Corsair ja daheim und werd ihn dann mit dem Megahalems in Sachen Montage vergleichen und es hier posten. Hoffe der Megahalems kommt bis zum Wochenende an.

Das teil rockt!! Hab die Mega Shadow Version (der gleiche in schwarz) mit nem AM3-Kit auf nem AMD Phenom II X4 955 mit einem Enermax Everest laufen (und der läuft grad mal 400-600 RPM unter Volllast) und mein CPU bleibt immer schön kühl, bis jetzt noch kein mal über 52° gekommen, auch nicht nach ner 48h Lan.. ;-)

Sehr an dem Kühler interessiert, hab sogar das gleiche Mobo wie im Video, (bzw die EP35C-DS3R Version);

Nur hab ich seeehr knappen Platz :/

Das Netzteil ist weniger als 1 cm überm Mobo wo der Kühler hinkommen würde, und das Gehäuse ist nur knapp 17 cm von der CPU breit...

Außerdem befürchte ich, dass meine Ram-Bausteine in den ganz linken Slots und der Kühler sich gegenseitig behindern/im Weg stehen.

Soll ichs riskieren?

mache ich immer so und ja, "klecks drauf und gut is" ist völlig ausreichend. und bei manchen pasten gar nicht anders machbar, da sie sich massiv gegen das verstreichen sträuben.

da gibt's nen alten OC-Trick: ein kleines Rechteck aus einer Telefonkarte schneiden... damit lässt sich jede Paste leicht verteilen, egal wie zäh.

Die schrauben werden ja auf Anschlag eingedreht, deshalb bekommt man mit dem Schraubendreher auch keinen höheren Anpressdruck zusammen.

a difficult question. there ar so many factors who can change the Temps. impossible to prophecy an exactly CPU Temp and i have no I7, to say you my temps. But in one Point you can sure, in this Date is there no Air Cooler, that generate better Temps, with a similar noise Level. You cant get wrong with this cooler.

That is debatable.

Some say the IFX-14 has more potential if you put high output 120x120x38mm fans on it and use the backside cooler that comes with it.

I have yet to see a direct comparison however.

I have Tested the Megahalems and the IFX-14 with the same Scythe Slipstream Fan, and the Megahalems was a little bit better. Surely you could mount three Deltas on the ifx-14, but only Freaks wants a C130 Hercules in the PC- Case.

if you use very good 120mm fan (maybe xigmatek 120 mm ) you should have 66 C max on stock clock, but if you want to overcloced it to 4 ghz the temperatures should be 90 C max, but this is normal temperatures for core i7. On games, mowies and programs max temperature after oc should be 75 C so this is good cooler for i7 :)

die CPU drauf ? Die Kühloberfläche des Megahalems ist doch Plan, und die CPU Oberfläche möglcihst auch da stört zu viel Kühlpaste doch nur.

hi, der Boden des Megahalems ist mitnichten Plan. Prolimatech schleift den Boden so, dass eine leichte konvexe Wölbung entsteht. Zu wenig Paste wäre hier also kontraproduktiv.

Die Klecksmethode kann man bei jedem Kühler verwenden. Ist aber eine glaubensfrage welche methode besser ist. Mir is ein klecks lieber, anderen das moleküldünne auftragen.. Abgesehen von Prolimatech versucht nur Thermalright das Konvexe. Bei den meisten Kühlerherstellern ist eine guter Boden Glückssache.

Da stecken die so viel Geld rein und dann soll das Glückssache sein ? Naja kann sein aber die Zukunft liegt eh in der Kompresserkühlung. Thermaltake ist grad eine am Entwickeln, die soll nciht lauter als ein Lüfter sein und dabei auch wenig strom schlucken...

nuja, ich habe bisher zwei Noctua NH-u12p und einen NH-c12P gehabt. Lediglich einer der drei Noctua hatte einen akzeptablen Boden. Da Noctua aber einen eher guten ruf bezüglich der Qualität hat muss ich wohl mächtig Pech gehabt haben.

Yep..The best CPU cooler out there for i7. Easy installation for almost everyone.. Fits fine on EVGA 132-BL-E758-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard with out any issues. Installed one Noctua fan as exhaust in ,but having issues mounting the exhaust out fan..neverthless with one fan..my CPU idles at 30 & 36-39 on load.

LOL. I'm building a new computer this summer with a HAF 932 too. I'm using an EVGA X58 3-SLI motherboard. I'm just worried it might interfere with the ram slots. Have you installed it yet? If you did, did it fit well?

No issues.... HAF 932 is THE BEST case I have ever owned. Its really cool that this cases has a small opening in the back to fit any aftermarket CPU cooler sockets..i.e..you dont need to take the motherboard out for installing LGA 1366 socket. Megahalem will fit with out any issues on your mobo. This heat sink is a little bit tall & sits very well on the CPU heat spreader. & it easily clears components surrounding it. But with CPU fan It may block the first ram slot, just install RAM first.

Hey, a lot of people put 2 fans on their prolimatech megahalems. I dont' mind the first ram slot getting covered because the first ram stick goes in the second slot anyways. But what if you put a second fan on the other side of the prolimatech megahalems? Would that other heat sink thing that's on that side of the the EVGA motherboard interfere with the second fan?

like I said above.. It does interfere with the heat sink thingy at the back..Currently I am having 2 issues to try something out. 1)I dont have any CPU fans available to try them out at the local Frys /best buy. 2. No brackets available at frozenCPU or anywhere else to try the CPU fan

Heard & read so many good things about this one & I ordered it before an hour on frozenCPU. I am really hoping it wont disappoint me. I eliminated coolermaster V8 & Noctua U-12p 1366 & bought this one. Fingers crossed..
