@ougal84 He didn't keep his foot in... he was hard on the brakes the minute he realised his car was in trouble and actually slowed the car down to 140 before it hit the wall. If the wheel/suspension hadn't come back and hit him he may have survived........ he died doing what he did best... leading. RIP!
he was F1 Driver it was his passion he was pleased to die at the F1 Steering wheel...Senna Rest In Peace.. one of the best drivers in history :/

i know its gonna sound crass, but i actually disagree. He kept his foot in it, when he could have lifted.... that's a racing driver for you.... :-)

His injuries were horrible. He lost 4 liters of blood and brain tissue. (We call it "massa cinzenta" here in Brazil. It is "brain tissue" in English)
That´s why nobody saw his face. Not even the family could see the body, touch his hand, look at him to say goodbey.
