NewScientist has a story about the recent jailing of UK Activists and I wondered; 'who would take their place?' The blog links to appalling videos on animal torture/experimentation which has awakened a powerful anger in me. How can this be allowed in our time? I googled "who would take my place" and found this unbelievably moving tune. I cried and cried and cried and cried. It hits a nerve for every injustice in this world. This song is just stunning. Bought their CD.

The Duhks are a great band but this song is best served by Dan with Tania of the Duhks doing harmonies.

The song's writer is Dan Frechette. The Duhks recorded this song for their album "Migrations." Check out some of Dan's stuff!
