@MizzNika87 Great! I already own one for about a year now. I took it on travel trips and I must say, it really can take a lot of beating. I probably have dropped it waist-height about hundreds of times, including onto a concrete ground a few times, and it is still running great. I love the fact it is slim and light-weight. It fits perfectly in my jeans pocket. If you are an adventurer/outdoor type of person, this camera is perfect for you. It's an awesome camera. :)

@kidbrown10 Cameras virtually never come with memory cards. Some stores will get bundle deals from time to time that come with (usually) a case and a memory card, but unless otherwise specified, assume if you're buying a camera that you need a memory card.

I traded in my Sony Cyber-shot WX9 (amazing camera, shoots AVCHD 1080i/60fps) for this simply because the Cyber-shot won't upload videos to the iPad. The pics save to the DCMI folder but not the videos nor does it save in an acceptable format for the iPad. Oh, one other thing, to charge it you have to plug the camera in a wall jack which I don't like to do. It's the little incidentals that me a lot in the end. Now where the hell is the mic on the Powershot? Been looking for it for hours. LOL

Hey soldier. Best video I've come across on the Canon ELPH 300 HS. Thanks for your review. I have a feeling you got the Manufactured in China version. I have the Japanese one. The reason why I think that is is because I can hear a noise when you zoom. That's the China version.

Also, my battery doesn't last as long as your's. Wow, you went a long time without it dying!

@Floresgirl09 SanDisk makes the best quality memory cards. I got an Extreme SDHC 16GB Class 10 memory card from B&H Photo for $26.99. That is best for 1020p HD movies. Make sure it's Class 10 even if you don't go witih SanDisk. Class 10 is best for video.

Thank you for a very well done video review soldier. I did a ton of research and decided on this camera. It has all you need for near professional results.  You can't get much closer. The more I see on it the more I like it. I will be purchasing it at the end of this month and will do a review myself. You can also get this camera at Walmart for 229.99. With the Wally World Warranty, its a pretty good deal. I can't wait to see what it does.

it looks like an excellent trade off and if you have a DSLR or a HD Camcorder this would be a great secondery camera to have just to take with wheever you go i think. amazing video quality for sure too! NIce video also note the super slow motion mode can also do 648x480 at 120fps which could be more useful then the higher speed but lower resolution. Great stuff!
