I really love the new 2009 7-series. the styling is MUCH improved, but believe it or not, the S550 actually handles and performs just as good, if not, better than the new 7-series. It also looks much nicer on the inside. i would have to recommend the S-class, the S-class also offers AWD which BMW does not. Both are great cars, it is very hard to decide between the two, but i think the Benz is still better :)

Benz is nice but damn s550 better than the 2009 750i your.....INSANE! Sorry but benz will never break the bmw's ultimate driving machines performance. Benz rides nicer than BMW, BMW performance is better hands down. Lexus LS460 ride's way nicer than benz, but benz performs better. All depends for half and half go for 750i, but for mostly luxury go with benz, for all luxury go with LS460

hell no, EVERY AMG model is faster than the M rival. if by performance, you mean handling and braking, then no. But if you're referring to straight line performance, AMG farts exhaust over all M competition. Also, the Lexus LS does not ride way nicer! It doesnt even ride nicer at all. If the anything, the S-class is smoother and quieter. Go test drive both and see for yourself. The S-class and 7-series are priced about 30K more than an LS. The LS doesnt beat the S-class or 7-series in ANYTHING

Listen Benz is nice don't get me wrong and I didn't test drive both cars I was given a ride in both cars and the Lexus LS is by far smoother than the S-class and 7-series and I love BMW, but I know when to admit something is better. As far as AMG goes, YES! AMGis fast in a straight line but that's all for performance. The LS has more reliablility and better resale value than both, Beat them in nothing my ass!!!!!!

Well you can hate on lexus thats fine with me I have an Acura TL, the orginal auto company that started valve lift and valve timing and best AWD system "HONDA". The IS-F performs better than a C63 on the track the C63 is only good in a straight line and the the IS-F can hang with the M3 way better than the benz. The NSX will slaughter all of them....lol!

Fiat was the first auto manufacturer to patent a functional automotive variable valve timing system which included variable lift. SOORY... Along with everything else.. Europeans invented pretty much everything. M3 is better in EVERY category vs the IS-F.. NSX doesnt compare with any of them.

Doesn't matter how long who had what for Honda SH-AWD is build for performance first they have they best performance AWD. Even Audi said they where just releasing and AWD simular to Honda SH-AWD. All the car magazines even say it, it's not the best for all weather but where talking about performance here do your research and drive a SH-AWD TL it handles better than an Audi A6 that's for sure. When you turn it force you into the turn with out understeer the Audi give you plenty understeer.

Benz isn't known for being reliable I spend $100,000 on a car and japanese ricers are still more reliable I'd be pissed, and I don't hate German cars cause I like BMW and Audi. Benz to over rated. And Saab XWD does send lateral torque, doesn't send 5% more torque to the rear outside wheel than it recieves from the differential. Nice try guy......... and Acura's SH-AWD system is lighter buddy

Audi S8 is just $7,000 more yet WAY cooler. You get 68 more horsepower, 0 to 60mph comes up in 0.6 seconds less, and you get just as much luxury (or more). The S8 kicks the S550's ass, but the S550's still one hell of a car.

Let me clarify this. The LS460 is much less expensive than the S550. Though the S550's much more luxurious. I'd say they're tied. I mean, you get packages on that LS460 to make it $90,000, and it'll be just as luxurious (or maybe more) than the Mercedes

Oh my god, I know he didn't! The Lexus LS, the new one, ranked LAST in Motortrends comparison and ranked LAST (5th) in Car and Drivers comparison test. Lexus will NEVER be Mercedes. Lexus = poor handling, copied design, boring soulless character, no prestige. The LS600h with 439hp is SLOWER than the heavier 382hp S500 (how embarrassing for Lexus engineers). $110,000 for a hybrid which is SLOW and doesn't even get good gas mileage!
