i'm just learning guitar, and i've got most of it down, but i'm not sure what you do on the D. Any chance you can explain it to me? it sounds like a D and then some variation of D but i can't figure it out. Sorry if this sounds stupid. thanks.

he does a D minor chord (x00231), but they don't do that on any recording i've heard, so i'm not sure why he's doing it.

Verse: A-C#m-F#m-D (Dm(xx0231) if you want to)

Chorus: Bm-D then A (then you use your ring finger to hit the 4th fret on the low E string (402220), then use your middle finger to hit the 2nd fret on the Low E (202220), then play a normal A chord with and open E (002220), then D).
