@MacyMabelle, you are Macy Mabelle, you can be compared to someone else but you cannot be her and she cannot be you. Callas was great, still she could not sing Mozart's music so she avoided singing it as much as she could. But she's a legend for WHAT SHE COULD sing, not for what she couldn't...:) Other sopranos were/are probably as great as she was or even greater but remember Callas' intimate life-story (Onassis, etc) did count in making the legend more than her singing did...:)

@MacyMabelle, of course she's not Callas because she's Valentina Nafornita. She cannot be two sopranos at the same time...;) Netrebko is not Callas, too. She's Netrebko. Callas was only Callas too...:)

Yes she's good, but all the excessive gesticulation during the Delibes is tacky and over the top. She deserved to be in the final, but I'm not convinced the best singer won.

Great range of moods shown over the 3 pieces but I guess most will agree that the last 4 minutes are exquisite.
