Wonder if Elvis inspired Cliff to sing this one in 1971. The Bee Gees had a top 10 hit with Words in 1968. Elvis version appeared on the On Stage album from 1970 and featured in the film Elvis Thats The Way It Is ( 1970).

Cliffs version is the best!

Words - fits Cliffs voice like a glove. Sounds like it was written especially for Cliff. Probably because it was!! Robin Gibb said so in a piece he did for the Daily Mail. The Bee Gees decided to keep that one for themselves can't blame them its one of thier best songs.

Wish Cliff had cut this in the studio and released it as a single. Would have been #1 I reckon.
