To me sound like deafhood as deafhook! Oh please! My mind picture mind word deafhood. Look funny to me! I dont mind deafness as person. Im deaf person. Being deaf as being human person. Please stop worry about hearing issues or deaf issues! Be yourself as being deaf. Hearing people di help deaf. You forgot hearing person is interpreter. Interpreter do help deaf. Like videophone or go doctor anything help deaf. Dont insult hearing people. One day hearing people interpreter can quit and leave on

Im deaf. Im not deafhood. Im deafness person. I never heard word deafhood or hearinghood. No make sense at all. I know like You have sisterhood, brotherhood, meaning bunch of women ,bunch of men etc

"Deafhood" is not bad but some deaf /hearing people maybe confused word like "Deafhood"

but I think your speaker is like right about what is mean and explain about deafhood. thanks
