Thank you also. Your technique is so efficient and straight forward. Your hands aren't all over the place and your not struggling. Pleasure to watch and and looking forward to following in your footsteps!
Thank you Sarah for this video. It it great. And now I understand navajo plying. My english ist not so perfect, so I can't understand all what you say. But I can see the fantastic video. Thank you so much for this.
Even though this is not genuinely Navajo plying this is the first videeo I've seen which makes it VERY clear a) how to start off and b) what to do once you start. It could have been shown a little slower for the hard-of-thinking such as myself (!!) but nevertheless it's the only one I've seen so far that actually shows me in such a way that I am not totally confused. Thank you so much for sharing!
That is a fantastic video. OK, not quite the way I do it, but I have never seen navajo ply explained so clearly and calmly before! Brilliant - a pleasure to watch (I nearly fell asleep - that is meant as a compliment!!!!).
Wonderful video with great tips and hints. Explaining "balanced" ply for Navajo plying and letting singles rest. You take your time so that we can see what you are doing, and you do it enough times that we are able to watch every little part of the process. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this! I live in an area where finding a teacher or supplies can be tough- this video helped me learn a new technique for all my handpainted rovings!
I first saw this vid a couple of months ago and it taught me exactly what I needed to know. As someone else said, you didn't just SHOW us, you taught us!
You also didn't pelt through it at top speed which helped IMMENSELY.
I watched your video many times. Tonight I took a bobbin that was a left over single from another yarn. I followed your video many times and in the end found myself with some nice 3 ply yarn that will be something to add into another project for some colorwork. Thanks for the GREAT video that clearly showed how to do this technique. It is now one of my favorites!!
Hi, I was filming Sarah while she did this demonstration. Sarah did have the single under tension. She has her lazy-kate set up on her right side & is feeding the single from there.
I wanted to ask, is the single under tension in this video? Light tension was the "missing link" for me in N-plying. Otherwise the single could really get away from me.
i've seen another person explain her Navajo spinning, but I like this one much better; you aren't just showing you're explaining. I'm not a spinner, rather a crocheter, but I do enjoy learning about the process before it gets to me! Thank you!
Oh my g... I'm finally GETTING it!!! This way of doing it looks very peaceful and smooth.
You really have a knack for visual teaching and I hope to see more spinning vids from you, especially as I live in a country where I have no access to spinning teachers (I think I'm the only one spinning here LOL).
What a great video. Thank you! I get it now. How wonderful to see spinning techniques coming out in video and DVD. It's so much easier to understand when you can see it in action.
Thank you so very much for the video!!
It's really relaxing to do the navajo plying in your way!!

Finally I understand the concept - when I'd seen it before, I just couldn't "get" what was happening, because it was going to fats. Thank you

This is the best video I've seen on Navajo plying -- talk about being one with the wheel & the yarn... Can't wait to try this.
