christ now i remember how much i hate this map.to many danm hills and mouintains,can't get any where.and the avatars have the legs of small toddlers.can't climb a simple incline.

@xblRegvolution it is a bit more demanding, but not much, so you should be able to run it fine =).

They have some videos of the real Korengal Valley. They have a helmet cam video that is probably the most intense firefight I've seen. Starts off with a squad walking along a snowy mountain path, right when they pass this huge puddle, they start taking fire, helmet cam guy runs, takes cover behind this wall, and fires a 203 round to his 6'o clock (after turning around) and it goes crazy from there. I recommend finding it.

One question... i know they are very different but which do you think is better

PR mod or ArmA 2??? Not to bothered bout the graphics but more focused on the multiplayer gameplay!! Another factor is the price which is more worth the money??? Also which do you think is easier??!! :P one more Q.. which is more realistic to real life??

@f1maniacz PR is waaaaay better =P. PR is free so better with that as well. It's quite hard to get the hang of the game, but that goes for Arma 2 too. Because of the teamwork you can find in PR, I would say that is more realistic to real life. But because they are using the bf2 engine, the vehicles aren't 100% realistic.

I will always say PR is better then ArmA 2 =).

Good vid, looks like a pretty intense fight. Your estimation of player numbers is a bit low though, right now at 15.42GMT (Saturday afternoon) there are 771 people playing PR.

There are over 20,000 different playing PR during each month.

it's Saturday, so it's normal that there are a few more servers full. And this game is indeed getting a large community.

yes, for examply the Isrealean forces will be added in 0.9, plus some new maps and vehicles.

How well populated is PR? Meaning are there usually enough players to choose from many different servers?

I think about 10 servers full on a normal evening (64 people in every server). Then you get a few servers with less people. In weekends it will be higher and some days it's only 4-5 full servers. PR has a pretty large community in general.

I'm in Croatia and I play every night at 10PM. I usually have to wait to jump in the UK or German server, those are usually full.

If you're thinking about downloading PR, don't think, do it. Trust me, you'll love it.

well PR is free, so I would always try it. I find this game better, but that's maybe because I know this game for a longer time.

those games are a little bit different, anyway, main drawback about arma 2 is the low game performance and a bit disorganized multiplayer (unless you're in a clan) but it has much larger environment and it looks more realistic, but you should be able to tell from videos which suits you more...

yh, I think you need to install the core thing that's on the site, then the levels, and then the patch. Don't read the numbers there because I don't think they are correct.

you need to download and install BF2 1.5 in the first place. Then download and install 0.86 Core and Levels, and then 0.87 core =).

You don't need a very good pc for this, because bf2 is quite old. But you do need a pretty good internet connection =).

Hey, I didnt think of dl/ and installing .87 b/c in .86, I downloaded it from filefront, and then while it was installing, I was playing on BF2. Then when I got on, it wouldnt budge past 1 fps. When I had .85 it ran at 70. Do u have to make PR setup the only thing running, or use a different dl link? Plz reply, thanx.

you should close all programs, especially BF2 or any mods for that game. That's probably the only reason. Try reinstalling.

yea, i have vista and it works good on it, all u need to do is update punkbuster for bf2 after installing it with updates using using PBSetup and running BF2 and this mod (project reality) on administrator.

You know what else is PR? Finding an enemy APC by seeing him fly at least 100 m in the air.

never seen that before. And I don't think it's possible in PR. You got some glitches with barbed wire for example where you can jump 20-30 meters into the air with vehicles, but not 100m. And by the way, that's not PR. That's crappy BF2. I can't wait for the real PR game.

I saw it once. I was in Kashan and me and my bud got gunned down by a BMP. With that, he went out to go find it, believing that it was by North Bunk. When we got there, we were like "Try to spot the enemy APC" and sure enough.. up flew the BMP, at least 50 feet, and then came back down with a crash :P

yup PR is the best of them all. People dont like if for 3 reasons. Either they suck! Two) They have no patience. 3) your about the points.....other then that PR dominates

yeah, although points in a single round is so easy to achieve. If you build a firebase with your squad everyone will get 300-400 points. I really like the point system, because when I'm having a great time, my points are usually high. So in PR the points is pretty much the amount of fun you're having =).
