  • My adopted doxie has a ton of these...but, then...she is twenty two years old.

  • Doc what is the cost of having a big lipoma removed on a front leg of a pomeranian? An approximate of coourse

  • @liga316 Anywhere from 300-700 depending on the size of the lipoma (difficulty)and health tests needed for the patient. If a biopsy is needed to classify the tumor it costs 150. Blood tests 150. Xrays 200. Older dogs may need a few tests.

  • My puggle has one bigger one and two tiny ones, the vet I work with let me stick and biopsey the bigger one since he is my pup! He did kind of the same thing Fred did and then wanted some pistachio nuts! You keep reinforcing my love of vet med with your videos, thank you for keeping me inspired!

  • doctor i have a yorky that has 2 small bumps on her back, should they be removed or see if they grow, they are small, thx

  • @juancamis They should be checked, it's a visual diagnosis. If they change or grow fast, they are candidates for removal

  • Thank you Dr.Greg for your response! Yes, Gracie who is an ESS field bred has had almost 10 good years since the surgery, as of now she is still healthy but she's up there in age. Funny, she has always weighed 35 lbs and is solid muscle, country living, taking her swimming and keeping her active has kept her fit. Have a great day and thank you for your informative videos! Sondra.

  • @JudgeSK Thanks Sondra, She sounds like she is in great shape! Thanks for watching!

  • @Joni48..My dog Good Girl Gracie was unspayed at age 3 because I wanted to breed her, but could not find a suitable stud dog, then I found a small lump on her lower mammary gland, immediately took her to the vet, removed and it was cancer.I had her spayed at the same time. Because I caught it at an early stage she was fine and is now 12 years old.

  • @JudgeSK Glad that you found the lump and took care of everything. I sure that has given her many more years to enjoy. Thanks for taking such good care of her.

  • my dog has cancer and everyone is saying that there is no way to save her she has so much of masses (tumors) each one of them are very advanced and she only has 1-2 weeks to live but i dont care please tell me is their any way i can save her?

  • @MrJames90123 Sounds like her time is limited. Enjoy her and keep her comfortable.

Each cancer is different but I would have to see her and tests to know what could be done. Most advanced cancers can't be helped. I'm so sorry

  • Sorry to hear that. Hope it is OK

  • I was feeding my dog and it had a big bleeding ball in left back leg now imma take him to the vet tommorow hopefully it ain't anything 'big'

  • @JustLiving305 what was it

  • @EndOfKevin829 A fatty tumor

  • @DrGregDVM My dog has a fatty tumor on his throat and 1 small one on his chest, should i have him get it removed or have medicin? it looks like hes fat or swolen

  • @EndOfKevin829 If they are getting bigger fast, look inflamed, or are in a bad place get them checked out. Sure they are fatty tumors?

  • How long has your tech been a student of the Tootsie Pop Owl? : D

  • @peachy6969 I 'll have to ask. What is that?

  • @DrGregDVM The way he was counting sounded like the old commercial for tootsie pops about how many licks does it take to get to the centre of a tootsie pop. If you search on youtube for "tootsie pop owl commercial" you'll find it. (Youtube won't let me put in a link)

  • @DrGregDVM Gives me something to kid him about...thanks!!

  • doc is it also advice for a dog that has tumors like these to undergo liver detox and fish oil capsules ?

  • @lyssaScruz Never have used detox. I love fish oil pills, flaxseed, canola, olive oils. Less dry food and treats helps(less calories and more exercise)

  • @DrGregDVM i take your advice doc .. thank you :)

  • @lyssaScruz Thanks for watching

  • Needed this video. I found a very tiny mass by one of her lower tits. So I read on it and know that is what they need to do for her. I am wondering if my vet can take out all of her mammary glands with this mass and spade her as well. What do you think?, will this save her from getting mammary cancer? She is a little over 9 years old. I am disabled and do not want to lose my baby. She is all I have. I have no idea what dog I could have once she goes. So glad I found you. Your wonderful

  • @Joni48 The vet will decide if they need to take out the small hard mass or more of the glands. Spaying her and removing the mass is her best chance. Get her checked soon!! Aren't they wonderful companions?

  • @DrGregDVM They are, I could never live with out a dog. Thanks for the advice. I am just waiting until I can get some money. It maybe as along as 60 days. I am just praying it doesn't get any bigger until that time. Or I am going to call the vet and ask if I can make payments. He's a good guy like you and cares more about the animal and knows I will pay. I look forward to more of your videos to learn by. Your awesome.

  • @Joni48 I know your dog has a great home. Thanks for watching!

  • wow that was alot bigger then i thought it would be. i thought it was only going to be the size of a slightly large golf ball.

  • @dehbee The surgery was on a bigger one that came in a few days later. Sorry the video is a bit misleading .I saw you message and will get back to you today.

  • @dehbee ohhhh ok lol. i was kinda amazed that something could be so deceptively huge under the skin. great video regardless haha

  • Thanks that was very interesting. Unbelievable how large the fat can grow under the skin like that.

  • @curiosidadesextrano That's a pretty big one, but I have seen much larger 6-7 pounds. Thanks for watching. Hope your dogs does well despite all of it's challenges.
