  • I would use scouts but I play dark angels so they count as elites.

  • well, i can see what you mean, but imo, they really shine in smaller games (500 to 1000 points). and so far with the new edition...they do pretty well. especially with telion attached.

  • Ten men scouts with power fist, combi-flamer and combat blades it's 175 pts. You can outflank, infiltrate and move through covers. Perfect for killing those that are not ready. 27 attacks with I4, hits most things on 4+, wounds most things on 4+ and the power fist makes the magick for squad like this. Try them and you will love them. You need to know how to use them. But still they are like 50 pts. cheaper in comper to assault marines.

  • Dont agree hevy bolter can shot normaly and the hell fire bolt if idont remember wrong you can use evry turn. + hellrire is for the nasty buggers like carnifexex they wound on 2+ sure they get the save 2+ but they get that on al wepons that not are not 2 ap

  • common shotguns are an assault 2 weapon plus strenght 4 it's a very good weapon

  • @0nTheTarget the shotys are pretty good i had them used against my necrons and they about ripped through a squad of warriors if it wasnt for my we'll be back to stick out the fight then the shotguns would have been game over right there

  • scouts are good for two things

    -sniping from cover (camoclocks & heavybolter)

    -meatschields (trust in the emporer)

  • I love the 2+ helfire round god infanteri hunter +Telion watch the ig lose his powerfist

  • its a one shoot wonderweapon and has no ap

    i prefer real plasmakannons

  • if u have scouts to capture an objective give em a heavy bolter cus they aint gonna move on an objective the get 3 shots and then u can mash em up in combat (give the rest close combat weps)

  • Space marines get +3 armour save scouts have +4, in cover they have 3,with camo cloaks and in cover they have 2+

  • powerfist on 5man scout doesn´t work against anything but tanks...they dei to easy in combat..and for tanks your better with meltabombs

  • scouts suck but the real reason the first 5 guys cost more is termie honors, they addded in the cost of the vet sarg!

  • i use my scouts to tie up the enemy in close combat so my marines can come and mop them up :p

  • Camo cloaks confer stealth which gives you a +1 to your cover save.... just curious if I'm missing something about granting scouts 2+ cover saves. I hope you are right because 2+ cover saves would rock.

  • if they go to ground you add +1 to your cover save, but your not allowed to do anything else for that turn

  • yeah camoclocks + maybe bolsterdeffence from techmarine = theres your 2+

    still the prob remains they just dont do much dmg

  • I agree with you. But I would say that the space wolve and blood angles scouts are better then normal ones.
