Thank you for the video - very helpful but would be better without the music which was VERY loud (at least on my computer) and distracting. I couldn't must the video cuz then I'd miss your words but it was far too loud and unnecessary - your words were great!
i wanna work with resin but im a newbie with such alien terms as 'catalyst' 'epoxy' or just mixing 2 chemicals together at room temperature and then worrying about it heating up and whatever else resin does. Oh and are you broke from the 32.95 dollars at michaels for a 8 oz jar of resin only. Id love to do this though. OH and it smells.
@KraftyPomeranian That would be ROSIN aka tree sap usually from a pine. RESIN is like plastic that doesn't need heat. It's a light weight polymer, like epoxy. You have to be careful when mixing it, it comes in two bottles that once mixed together HAVE to be used then. You can't save it. Which is why she made the charms. Have you ever been to a restaurant that had things on the table under wheat looked like glass or ice? It was resin that was poured on. Expense will depend on where you live.
@crazyfrend you can get the resin at Michael's. I tried this tip and already made several charms but the ones I made in a silicone mold came out with a rather non-glossy finish (if any body has a tip to make them glossy please let me know!) and the ones made in the jewelry molds came out very shiny!
Those are so cute!
