It's Football not Soccer. It's not a contact sport, your only allowed to make contact if you take the ball THEN the player or it's a legitimate shoulder barge. If some one takes your legs or bashes you over you have every right to get a free kick for it. It doesn't ruin the game at all, a foul is a foul. Playing for free kicks is also part of the game. Also their is more Injuries in Football than their is in Rugby because you are taking out the feet.
