I think the reason why they beveled the bottom of that cooking pot is because it would make it easier to clean out the inside, but they could have welded some metal tabs to the bottom that would help it seat on the stove more safely. Nothing more frustrating than waiting 10 minutes for a pot of water to boil only to have a strong gust of wind tip it over on to ground or worse, on your self.
to close small cuts, you can buy in any pharmacy a product that you brush on like a thin glue once it dries its water proof and it has disinfectant in it. Works like a liquid bandage.
well, after looking some stuff up (i could be wrong), they're used for a number of things such as food, first aid and cigerittes. Most of the time its used to hold ammo and/or even contain a "potato masher" grenade. Does anyone else know?
yea they use signal mirror in the airforce fighter trainging to signal the plane to come that way it is truee they can be seen for miles

I can see that the cone shape of the bottom of the cup could be helpful on an uneven surface
I will need to look into getting some of these for our 72 hour kits

@126126512 you can buy their pods without anything in them so that you can make your own personalized pod

You could bevel the "pot" to where it slides into the stove, therefore removing any chance of it tipping. The whole stove would have to tip first.
Same dimensions, just, the pot component is more sturdy.
Kriegsarschmann 2 years ago
Yes but the stove and pot have been designed to fit one inside the other in the gear pod.
DeimosSaturn 2 years ago
It looks like the stove is the same diameter as the pot. Either way, you could stamp it so the pot either fits over or inside the stove.

longest signal mirror rescue was a little over a hundred miles in perfect conditions, but your best bet is 10-20 miles on a normal day.

This reminds me of the German WWII elongated canisters they carried. Anyone know what the Germans had in those things?
