Hey Steve - Please clarify... Does Yngwie really use .008 guage strings? If so, then it makes sense to use a scalloped neck. Nice job on the lessons by the way! Thanks-
Thx! I'll upload more vids as soon as poss.I'm still in the full time job of getting my son's medical situation stabalized as well as moving into a new studio.Thx for your patience.Yngwie has used varying string gauges over the yrs.The last time I saw him face-to-face was in '91,so not sure what he uses now,BUT,I can tell you the opposite is true:A scalloped fretboard INCREASES the risk of intonation issues,as does small string gauges,so it's generally wiser to use heavier strings w/scalloping.
hey steve, i really liked the sweet home alabama solo 1 lesson, it realy helped me pull it off. is thier a chance ul upload a similar totrial for the 2nd solo?
hey dude you are really good. do you know malmsteen? if you do could you do something of his? no doubt you can pla it your insane dude! like adagio or far beyond the sun maybe? thanks dude. shred on
Thanks man...I have played a lot of Yngwie over the years but not much recently. I kinda went head over heels for the whole sweep thing for a few years and then got back out of it again. Do I "KNOW" Yngwie...lol...j/k...well, I don't know HIM, but I DID buy a Marshall 2210 100 watt full stack from his guitar tech MANY years ago, while he was on break from an Yngwie tour...does that count? Lol :-p ..and yes, he played Yngwie as good as Yngwie did! LOL..
Anyway, I have a TON of requests to fullfill, but as soon as I get my son's medical situation stabilized and then caught up with the swarm of other videos requests I've gotten, I might see about throwing some Yngwie stuff on here...Thanks again! :-)
Thanks Manfred :-) Yeah...I kinda came up on bass "old school", but then was completely won over by Primus and the like. This is not a Primus lick, but it's me improvising on something that "could be" a Primus lick :-)
Osmeh1000strana: I do indeed have some degree of Perfect Pitch. Mine is not nearly as well developed as my son, Brandon's (I'm assuming you've seen his Perfect Pitch video on my channel). While I do indeed have Perfect Pitch, I have a very quick and efficient Relative Pitch (better than my Perfect Pitch), and I believe, most of the time, my Relative Pitch kicks in and does the "job" for me before the Perfect Pitch does. My Relative Pitch is simply more refined. Thanks! Steve
I think it is time to sub to you friend!

That bass line you played is wicked. Makes me wish I could play bass that good.

Thanks! I'll put those on my request list. I have quite a few other requests ahead of you, but those are both GREAT choices :-) Thanks again! :-)
