  • This was a great film for me and goes to show that CGI doesn't have to mean over the top, souless, empty film making. (you listening Lucas?)

Some great performances and direction coupled with engaging set design, action all wrapped up in an interesting story.

They 'jumped the shark' a few times but overall a really atmospheric and charming little film.

  • I make my own films and after seeing this it's made me really want to move on to motion capture some day!

  • @Smileandwavelol

    Irish jig.

  • @TeeHeeStudios2000

    Ah, thanks.

    Thought it was Scottish...

  • I'm curious, what kind of dance/jig did Captain Haddock dance?

It's hilarious how he does it!

  • Jamie: To Bagar!

Andy: To Bagar! *spits in hand and shakes Jamie's*

Jamie: *realizes that Andy actually spit in his hand.*

    XD

  • Shame on the Academy for saying that motion capture isn't acting.

  • @Maria29493 The Academy, just like its illogical award choices, is the remnant of a bygone era; fast becoming irrelevant by the day.

  • this is fascinating i wish i could see the whole movie like this

  • Captain Haddock: We're saved! We are saved! It's a sign from above! (Dances in a weird hilarious way) Over here, over here!

    Tintin: Captain wait!

    (Gun shots)

Captain Haddock: They are shooting at us!

    LOL

  • i bet Jamie's voice kinda suit with character Link from the game zelda. i do really wish they make a movie out of it. i can only get to know the story little bits which interest me to know more. but i have no interest in playing the game just wanting to know the story only. and i do really seriously wish they do a remake with avatar the last Airbender movie but in CGI method. Its such a good story. its a waste to just leave it as it is...

  • @laicilunarix No it wouldn't they would fuck it up. not even spielberg could make it good. Fantasy dosen't translate well to film

  • Someday, I'm gonna be in a motion capture film. Possibly when they make Tintin in the lake of sharks, I could be that girl.

  • *tinting and haddock jumps out window* *snowy plops down beside them* XD

  • Jackson and Spielburg in the same room. jizz.

  • this film would have been fucking fun to make.

  • CGI has come a long way! The animation of this film looked almost real!

  • why daniel greg is using the 007 clouths in the voice acting?

  • GOLLUM!!! lol Peter has become skinny! he looks good!

  • I love you Andy <3 lol

  • OMG, this is crazy... They must definitely win an award for this.

  • that's AMAZING!!!!

  • Lol Tintin dog raping voice =D

  • I am so impressed with Jamie's acting I just can't tell you. Serkis is amazing too, but he's been doing this for years. Jamie takes to it like a natural. It seem like acting in mo-cap you have to be theatre-stage quality or higher, because you know on the stage all your actions have to be exaggerated, but with enthusiasm, not cheesiness, and that's what he manages to do so very well. I don't know if I'm making sense, but ah. He is so perfect for the role. *Tintin fanngirls some more*

  • peter jackson > steven berg

  • Seems to take all of the fun out of acting. I wonder if these actors know that in 10 years they'll be completely replaced by synthespians.

  • Its crazy how they make those things lol

  • Lol snowy! Do you know a store where you can get a stuffed snowy?

  • Snowy

  • OMG I laughed watching "Snowy" on set XD

  • This is so cool! I haven't seen the movie yet but am gonna as soon a s I possibly can! After seeing the trailer, now I know how they made it look so relistic! :D

  • This beat Avatar in everything!

  • incredible.

  • Did they use that slamming sound for the plane repair scene? :)

  • So amazing! The animation in this movie is simply incredible. The way the characters move just looks so natural. No wonder this is how they had to do it!

  • I saw the movie and it was amazing but when I saw this it was funny

  • I saw the movie and when I see this it's like WHOAA

  • for the first few minutes of the film i could NOT tell it was digital animation!!! This felt like a new experience when i saw Tin TIn (probably like when people saw colour movies for the first time).

  • So freakin hillarious. sure i will buy the dvd full features for this one!! xD

  • F*ck! is that peter jackson? he looks freakin thin!!

  • Wow

  • Excellent video, the movie was a lot of fun.

    3:13 - 3:22 just cracks me up,so funny.

    ;

  • the world become more and more sophisticated

  • so damn good movie, hope the next one gonna be even more awesome (if even possible xD)

  • My dreams ... S2

I always wanted to be a filmmaker and now i also want to be an actress mo cap XD

  • This should be the movie! Don't bother about animating it. It'd win comedy of the year!

  • The seaplane pilots at 3:55 - 4:42 are played by Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights) and Phillip Rhys (TV's Nip/Tuck)

  • This will be sooo amazingly epic!

  • si fy k

  • Brilliant! Thanks for uploading!

  • Jamie Bell : ) I love him!

This movie looks very good actually! I can't wait

  • Wow. Seriously. Just wow. I can't wait to see this.

  • Oohhh My Dog.

  • very good!

  • I really admire the actours here, my school is one of the less in my country that works with motion capture, I've worn a motion capture suit once myself and it's pretty uncomfortable and kinda hard to move in. So it's awesome to see they can still act just fine

  • When will we see the next sequel? Arrgghh CAN'T HARDLY WAIT...!!!

  • @pastlearner The sequel? Chrsitmas 2014 or summer 2015 D:

  • @pastlearner WHAT !!! :( it's to long to wait...

  • 02:08 - 02:38 - this part isn't in the actuall movie, they propably cut it for time

  • I would just love the job of throwing snowy around lol =) That is hilarious

  • dubbing at the same time acting in a skeletal environment....

pretty hardwork but that hardwork will be frruit fuuuull...... anyway i like the movie the movie itself is amazing it doesnt need 3d glasses.....

  • It's pretty amazing technology has come this far now that you really think about it

  • I watched the movie, it's so good you should really watch it if you've red the comic books and watched the drawed ones!

Its so realistic, yet keeps the Herge part but adds some spielbergness like the action scenes, really awesome, i hope many more of these are yet to come.

We need Rocket to the moon anyways :)!

  • @rotjesenmatjes Personally, I'd like to see "Island of the Sun."

  • I just love.. Jamie's voice

  • My god Captain Hadock, its the Caesar.

  • this looks really wierd. acting in such weird suits...

  • @DavidSDoubleU But the end result is amazing.

  • 1:12 Awww, they have the actual comics on the wall for inspiration!

  • I just saw the movie, and the characters seem so real compared to animated ones. Great movie! Would recommend it.

  • These are freaking amazing crews. Kudos to Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg

  • @J0rdan0903 Not to forget, Andy Serkis - The best motion capture actor of all time

  • daniel craig nad tintin are look like same?

  • Haha the dog is great

  • Ahaha Snowy...

  • just went & saw the movie , and now these figures are scaring me hehe

  • This is just so amazing and cool! You can tell the difference between a rigged animation and the natural body language from an actor. This movie was done brilliantly thanks to this performance motion capture technology! Excellent job! Now someone has to share the video how the 3D modellers did their texturing! XD

  • THE DOG... lol

  • @srkdarr yea. I love that they drew a face on him :D

  • @srkdarr he's just chillin lol

  • its so odd to see peter jackson now, i really didnt regonise him now he's lost weight. i cant wait to see this film being a major tintin fan, though i have to wait till i get it on dvd :(

  • 4:48 what possible use was that to throw a stuffed, lifeless dog out the window? LMAO

  • I saw the movie and I can't imagine the work that had to go through. Acting in such envroinment is not easy at all.

    Good job

  • @goduxunike I just got back after seeing the film. All I can say for sure, I can't imagine this film being filmed in live-action.

  • 4:48
