This shows how behind the States are about Gay rights. In Canada, same sex couples living together are considered common-law couples if they are not married. We went thru these "next of kin" thing in the 80's...My god they are behind..!!!..And Lily and Holden have lots of money to pay for surgery. They don't have to worry about insurance..As far as the puch in the nose Luke gave Mason....it was well deserved.

Regardless of insurance, relatives, etc. the hospital would have already begun to treat Noah's face burns as a matter of course. Noah could use Medicaid if need be, but even the paramedics probably would have done something for his burns and surely the doctors should be tending to them. How did he get a private room after just being brought in? Wouldn't he have been brought to the ER first?. Maybe that set isn't built :) .And by the way, Van Hansis looks terrific.

First of all you can't adopt an adult!! Secondly hospitals have operated on people without any family consent. Come on!! This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. They must think we're some dummies who don't know commen sense. Come on writers.. you'll have to do better than this if you want viewers to keep tuning in!!!!

You can adopt an adult. There was a documentry about gay spouses where one guy did that -and he was in his 60's.

Luke acted like a child. Why was he yelling at the Doctor!! The whole time I couldn't stop thinking that all his yelling was childish. I mean how old is he. Can't the writers come up with something better than Luke screaming at the doctor for no reason. Come on. They need better dialog!

They are going to become legally 'half brothers." Luke is not legally Damian's son. He was adopted by HOlden. So, Noah would be "legally" Damian true heir to his fortune.

Are we supposed to forget that Noah has a father? Being in prison, doesn't mean he's lost his parental rights. He can give consent, idiots!

AND!!!! When Noah was shot, how did he have his surgery then?!

It is no more Luke's fault that Noah got hurt than it was Noah's fault when Colonel Mayer shot Luke. But they both feel guilty about it, so I guess that makes them even. Also, Mason's got some nerve, his conduct WAS inappropriate!

When Luke was shot by NOah's father, he never blamed Noah for it.

I'm looking forward to this story arc. Now we know Noah will likely wake up blind which will lead to some great acting. Though it will be weird for Luke and Noah to be "brothers," its just a technicality and the only way to give his family (because I think they've always felt Noah was part of the family) to protect him now and in the future.

This would've been a good opportunity to show that in some circumstances, non-relatives cannot even SEE their partners in the hospital.
