I have the Thunder AC680 battery charger...what type of balance connector does it have?...I would like to purchase LiPo batteries with compatible balance connectors...How do I know if the balance connectors are the align style, or the Thunder Power style, or the PolyQuest/PolyRC, or others? Could you tell me what type of balance connectors come with specific brand LiPo batteries? Please let me know. Your info. would be greatly appreciated.
there are serveral videos on youtube for setting up a gyro. one of the biggest things is to put your ball link in close to the servo, DONT go to the last hole in the horn for more travel it will give you bounce, wag, and drift
pinion would depend on motor kv rating standard pinion is a 13t for about a 3500kv motor go above a 3800kv you might want to go to a 11-12t pinion. even on a 450 If you are anything above a beginner I would go 50amp on the esc 60 if you cant get a 50 better to have more than you need than less and burn it up. by my data logs I have pulled 49amps from my 450 in flight, more 3d move amps(current) the better you get the more power you will use
Why not make a video showing everyone exactly how to set up the gyro in a detailed step by step guide instead of showing us a preadjusted one that flies almost perfectly...It would help the people who are having this issue
Have to agree with you on this 1. For the biggener these videos are of no use what so ever, Seem's like they assume we are all top notch flyers with 20 years of heli flying. Wrong. newbees watch these vid's to try and gain some insight into the hobby, most have no 1 to show them the ropes and so spend money crash after crash untill they decide it's just not worth it.
@sootydave1 - if you can't self teach, then you really can't afford to cheap out components -- because it will always leave you wondering if you fudged it, or the component did. I ran a crap Rx once on a Trex450 and had SO many crashes. Now I fly a Walkera V120D02 and haven't crashed in months, loops, rolls, etc -- and i'm a novis at flying; but pretty well skilled at build & maintain. The Gyro is like pie on V120D02.
@sootydave1 And yet setup videos can already be found literally all over the internet. The thing is, most of the times, all setup requirements for tail gyros are just about identical. If you fail at one, you'll fail at the next. But setting up a gyro is no magic and if beginners would read their manuals they'd have no problems setting up their gyros. I'm a self-taught heli pilot and just about everything I needed to know was found on the internet.
I assume that the kv of this motor is around 2000 kv to drain the battery without melting itself, the esc is also around 30 a butmust be able to drive 6 s, Am I right? The choice of the pinion at this high revs would be 13 or even 14 teeth?
no doubt nice vid and helicopter. Im a beginner and my wife and i are going out to my local hobby store to pick up a indoor and a outdoor hilicopter. I was told to start of with a Esky Honey Bee King 2. Only thing is my local hobby store do not carry that brand Esky. They deal with Elite. Please anyone could help me a good brand i should invest in. Peace
@FortGreene11201 hey bro, most any brand should do th trick for beginning but as far as size????u said indoor and out door,..how much room indoor are we talking about, and also if ur getting a 6 channel transmitter capable of programing,..the reason is I was and still am a beginner myself,..I learned quickly th key to getting started is knowing how to program ur tx,..and a good flight sim like pheonix,..3 weeks and I'm flyin in 15mph gusts,..trust me it didn't come easy, later gator
Very nice flying there mate. Great balance for such a small machine. I'm always amazed at how the small helicopters are just as capable as the bigger gas powered ones.
Its a 6 cell 1300 milliamp battery. I run a Scorpion 2010 designed for the 6 cell setup. A lot of people are running that setup. You can run a Jazz 40 amp it works great. The battery is about the same weight as a 3 cell 2200 milliamp. More consistant power and a little more flight time depending how hard you spank it. You have to lower the battery tray on a t-rex 450 and the canopy will fit perfect or just pop a couple new holes, or fly without the canopy like I do.
There is no way a 450 class heli will support a 6 cell lipo unless your running an esc way to big and a motor that would fit in a 500 to 550 class........... my T-Rex and Compass Atom run on 6 cell 2700 Mah 45C batteries and they are both 500 size helis! with a stock 450 size especially from xheli theres no way it will handle a 6s battery.......... correct me if im wrong but ive never seen it done. 4 cell ive seen max on a trex 450 and Rave 450
"WoW!6S?i thought that 450 helis are supposed to use 3s 2200mah...i can't imagine what headspeed this 6s will provide.." He says 3600 RPM head speed...
I dont know about the rest of you, but hes talking quite a bit about that gyro, about how great it is.. Its so great that i counted over 10 blowouts, not to mention the tailblades being much bigger than needed. I am all for the economical way into things, but i dont know, that gyro is not something id ever put into something that i 3d hard.
@onehandpass79 Not trying to start an argument, but I'd say it comes down to proper collective management when it comes to getting the best out of a less-than-perfect gyro that happens to be this cheap. It's even somewhat ironic that you post this comment below a video proving its perfectly able to do 3D. :??
@Thercflyer96 Real Helicopter Have Collective Pitch like these Helicopters So there can but you no to the 3D like Model Helis and these are motor Revering either theses are collective Pitch Helicopters.

how much does a plane like that cost? and how long can it fly?
petritwow 10 months ago
@petritwow like that is 500-1000 but if youre bigginer buy a easyer one cause if you havent flown anything before you will crash
a battery powered heli will fly for around 10 mins but each heli is different some can go for 20 mins and some can go for 5mins
